Just a quick heads up for those wondering: the Destiny 2 servers are now live, meaning that if you have a physical copy of the game, you can jump in and get started. Those who are going the digital route will obviously have to wait until the title unlocks at midnight tonight.
Destiny 2's official launch date is tomorrow, the 6th September, but no doubt some of you will have snagged your copy early. Are you one of the lucky few? Let us know if you're diving straight into the sequel in the comments section below.

This is awesome news! Too bad i cant pick up my copy for 12 hours......
Just got my copy, updating atm ( 6.2gb )
Amazon prime hasnt shipped mine yet. Anyone in toronto in the same boat?
Dammit waiting for mine to arrive by post!
@Mikethemosher I'm not from Canada but don't think Amazon will ship it until the 6th of August which is the official release date.
I use a certain online retailer and usually get my pre-orders a day early. Unfortunately not with Destiny 2 though
@Melucine Oh great, so not only did I not get mine early like I usually do, but even when it does come I have to download a 6.2gb update with my crappy broadband first Thanks for the heads-up anyway.

Wow! With all the wrong in the world and people are freaking out because "my copy hasn't arrived yet!"
How ironic that you play characters trying to save humanity. 😂
@Nifty nowt wrong with a bit of hype kiddo
Being penalized for going digital sucks...
Debating going physical on this one or not. I know the trade in value will be basically nothing in a month, and I've got about 20 games on disc, which swapping out is getting annoying (first world problems). That 20% discount from BB or Amazon is tempting though....
@RedMageLanakyn I actually decided to go almost fully physical for the reason that I want to get up and change the game physically, like we used to as kids. I don't want me or my kids to get in the mindset that everything must be instant all the time. (Because I think we are getting too impatient as a society).
It' may sound stupid, but for me its one simple step to keep myself in check. Oh, that and the fact my wife keeps me on budget and I gotta trade games in to get new ones.
@Kienda Cute, but the day we got a TV with a remote control was a good day lol
Post has just been and still no bloody game!!! It was dispatched first class on Monday...damn you Royal Mail.
@Kienda I've gone a mix of both, usually I'll buy digital if I know the game will have zero resale value (like Destiny) or if it's dirt cheap on a flash sale. Amazon and Best Buy have really given me the incentive to go physical on new releases at an instant 20% discount, but i'm definitely running out of shelf space! My kids are too young to start handling discs or media yet, they just know the bookshelf in the corner is "off limits"
