Who's up for a good look at Monster Hunter: World, then? Straight out of TGS 2017, Japanese publication Famitsu has uploaded over 20 minutes of PlayStation 4 gameplay footage -- and it looks fantastic. The video features the game's desert area and plenty of combat.
Remember, Monster Hunter: World isn't very far away at all -- it's due to launch worldwide on the 26th January 2018. Are you hyped? Swing a giant sword around in the comments section below.

I might actually get a PS4 Pro for this granted if the price for the LG OLED tv that I want drops.
Looking good
Very impressive, the series did needed a graphical upgrade after so many years on Nintendo handhelds.
Can't wait. I know I've played a small portion of a Monster Hunter game a few years back, but never delved real deep into it.
Never played any but heard plenty of good things about this franchise. Looking forward to seeing more of this..!
I had a MH game for Vita and didn't much care for it. Can't remember which one it was exactly. But this looks pretty good.
I am totally hyped for this, seems like a game finally tapping in its true potential - reading Nintendo fanboys comments about it is making me lose faith in humanity.
@hadlee73 it' s out in January worldwide
This looks like the Monster Hunter game I always wanted. I loved Monster Hunter 3 but this looks next level.
Never played Monster Hunter is there a story here or just You catching monsters?
@Hapuc Most Monster Hunter Games have some semblance of a story, but it would seem that World is taking a more cinematic approach to the storytelling this time with spoken narrative and in-engine cutscenes. Also, you typically hunt and kill monsters especially when starting out, but there is a capture mechanic in the game which yields higher drop rates for monster parts.
Those bird like creatures in the back at around 4 min looked like a bad background from a ps1 game lol
Anyway the game looks dope!
Looks pretty bland. I think I'll pass on this.
@TromboneGamer
Ahhh cool so there is an infinite amount of monsters you can hunt?
Somewhere around the 9:30 mark they showed the character creation mode:

@Hapuc Well, you accept quests to do different things such as gathering resources and of course hunting monsters. You can do a quest as many times as you want and you'll definitely want to do that especially for boss monster parts with low drop rates.
