Sonic Forces' Casino Forest Looks Wilted in First Gameplay Footage

Looks like Sonic 4 - not really a good thing. Still hoping the game turns out to be fun.

It looks a little slower than I would like; and you wont find me defending sonic's flaws from the last decade; but this doesn't look awful to me? I think Sonic team desperately need new ideas on worlds though. Only so many casinos Sonic can visit in his career. Should speak to Nintendo who always create fresh inventive worlds for mario

Looks ok to me. If it's as good as the 2D sections in Generations then that's fine by me.

I didn't know until recently that there was a lot of 2D in this game. I really really wish they'd just focus on 3D for these games and leave the 2D ones to Mania's team.

Looks ok to me, i like the fact he's running not so fast, the 3D levels go so fast you barely have time to react to enemies that are coming up in the path, that frustrates the heck out of me, i reckon Forces is going to be pretty decent, not great but not awful either, which would be a victory for Sonic Team after so many sub par games lol

This doesn't look...bad? It isn't Sonic Mania but really how could it be? It isn't crazy fast but that makes platforming easier.

Not buying this, not even Sonic Mania but it doesnt look that terrible to me.

Looks like Generations to me, which is fine. I don't mind if the physics aren't a 100% match (I really liked the Advance trilogy), just as long as it's a reasonable enough approximation. The game is still looking like a 7/10 imo, maybe a 6/10 at worst.

I'm not sonic connoisseur and it's not the most amazing thing, but it looks fun enough.

I don't think this looks like awful gameplay. However, the level design in the foreground (as opposed to the background) looks a bit bland. If they're going for casino, especially on next-gen consoles, why not go for something much flashier for a casino? They could do more with this.

@kyleforrester87 Never understood why they dont put in highend pixelart some time it just and look works better.

Honestly, this doesnt look bad at all, I think its just cos the colour pallette is so dark and usually we expect Sonic to be super bright and neon, more I see of it, the more im actually looking forward to the game, It'll be a very nice companion alongside Mania

Sammy, are you able to advise if this is 60 fps? That will be the deal maker or breaker

I don't see what's bad about the gameplay. It looks like 2D Sonic. The only issue is how dull it looks for a supposed Casino. It fits with the game's theme, but that doesn't do it any favors from a visual standpoint.

Looks ok, music could be better though.

Definitely could look a heck of a lot worse. Don't think it'll come close to Mania but it looks pretty fun to me.

Looks boring. Not exactly offensive, but certainly not interesting. It's nuts that there are no enemies.
