And it was all going so well! Destiny 2 launched yesterday with only a few not-so-widespread connection issues, but today, it seems as though Bungie's sequel is struggling to stay online for some players. What's more, the PlayStation Network appears to be having problems of its own, with reports of users being unable to sign in, their friends lists not loading, and being unable to change their status to 'online'.
At this point, it's worth noting that not everyone appears to be impacted by these outages. We've been able to sign into the PSN, but our status is locked to 'offline', and we can't access the Destiny 2 servers. It's unclear whether these networking issues are linked, but from where we're sitting it'd be a pretty big coincidence if they weren't. Hopefully things get straightened out sooner rather than later.

Update (20:00): There are some reports going around that both the PSN and Destiny 2 are still having issues, but for the most part, things seem to be sorted out. Let's hope it stays that way.

Im in new zealand and i havent been able to change my status to online for about 5 hours
@Mjcadman Yeah, that seems to be the most common issue people are having (myself included).
And the price just hiked too.
Maybe more bought this than anticipated? Seems plausible.
watched a friend play it last night and noticed a bit of teleporting going on with other players and the AI, a sure sign of struggling server demand. i'm able to sign in psn online at the minute, but don't have destiny 2 to try that.
Wait, isnt Destiny P2P? Oh boy...sounds like the PSN and that are related then.

Sod Destiny, the servers are down for Everybody's Golf!
I signed out about 5 mins ago and all seemed ok to me. Gutted for those who can't get on. Hopefully it'll be back on soon.

I loaded everybody's golf and had some weird psn purchases error or something.
No issues here, but I haven't got Destiny 2 yet.
@kyleforrester87 @TripleGK @ShogunRok Ive had a weird issue when changing message group logos and titles I keep getting error messages and the titles and logo changes to something completely different. I blame PSN.

I only started playing Destiny 2 this afternoon (on PS4 Pro) and everything was fine. Hopefully it'll stay that way!
PSN keeps logging me out and I'm getting errors up the wazzoo! xP
Both PSN and Destiny 2 have been fine for me, but my friend lost connection on D2 a few times. But thats because his boradband is rubbish and he is getting fiber later this month, so some of the issues is obviously people with not so hot boradband. Boradband nowadays is the new dial-up, fibe is where its at for online gaming.
