All you need to do to play the Battle Royale mode is download the free client. The file weighs in at just shy of 14GB at the time of typing.

Once you’re done downloading, you’ll be free to play Fortnite: Battle Royale. The developer will eventually be selling cosmetics and other items inside the mode, but you won’t have to pay a penny to board the Battle Bus.
