How do you know when a brand’s successfully reached mainstream status? The second it gets a licensed Monopoly board, of course. And that’s exactly what’s been listed on the PlayStation Gear store, although details regarding its release date remain under wraps.
The family favourite will do away with top hats and dogs, instead allowing you to play as the, er, Phurba from Uncharted 2: Among Thieves or what appears to be a bundle of rope. The game will cost you £30.99 in the UK, but you’ll need to keep your eyes open for pre-orders.

My standard edition Monopoly set gets dragged out and dusted off once a year at Christmas and that's the way it'll stay.
Wouldn't thousands of bullet holes and dead mercs devalue everything until financial collapse...

@kyleforrester87 I suffer an 80s version of trivial pursuit which includes pop culture questions from the 60s and Geography that doesn't exist.
The only special edition board game I own is Zelda Clue, which I just picked up a few weeks ago from the Nintendo Store New York. It's interesting cause it adds some different gameplay mechanics but Monopoly is Monopoly.
If you go directly to jail, do not pass go and do not collect £200, will Elena bust you out?

Still Monopoly. Still terrible.
I would buy just about anything Uncharted related, but Monopoly is not one of them.
The Lost Legacy stuff is not on the US store yet, but there are some weird items that I had not seen before. There is a Madagascar puzzle and temporary tattoos. Who comes up with these things?
I can't tell you the last time I played a board game. It's been years for sure.

I don't know what special edition board game would tempt me. Maybe a Batman edition Scotland Yard? Crash bandicoot Hungry Hippos? GTA Operation, with Trevor on the table?
i have 3 different versions of Monopoly already, the standard version, the Electronic Banking version (to stop cheating) and a Lord of the Rings version my brother brought me
@Tasuki i have 2 Cluedo boards, a Midsomer Murders one (basically it's the same as the normal just with Midsomer places and characters) and a Harry Potter one although that one is interesting, has loads of features the normal one doesn't such as help cards and a board that actually changes as you play, locking out rooms and you can even teleport from one room to another by using special tokens
You can get a Monopoly set for my home town and that place is a s*** hole.
I'd rather go Uncharted!

@ellsworth004 The more I think about it the more I like it. Just think of all the foreign bodies a character like Trevor with all his, er, vices, would need removing!
