Capcom has released a brand new Monster Hunter: World gameplay trailer, and it's a good one. The clip introduces a desert area called the Wildspire Wastes, and gives us a look at a load of brilliant beasties. The developer really seems to be going all-out with this latest entry now that the series is back on home consoles, which is great to see.

Hype!
Blimey!
Really does look great.
..Not being big on Ninty, I've never really played a decent Monster Hunter game... this will be my first, and how amazing does it look?!?
Nnnh ... so amazing ... and hot ... this game ...
I ... I think I'm gonna ...
... GONNA!!!
(disturbing moisty sounds follow)
Finally, some different footage instead of seeing that same forest again. There's quite an interesting area of monsters in this trailer, and I'm glad to see Barroth returning.
Anyway, my small phone screen doesn't do this trailer justice, so I'll have to rewatch it later.
Really hoping there's a special edition for this!
I'll buy it for my PS4 if I'm forced, but I'm still hoping for some form of Worlds or MH5 on the Switch. MH is best played on a portable system IMO. The Switch would give me the bonus of TV play if desired.
THIS is the trailer I've been waiting for. Feels like proper MH, with a variety of monsters, environments, weapons, etc. on display.
This might single-handedly convince me to resubscribe to PS+ for multiplayer.
@dkxcalibur Yeah, I'm not a huge fan of games that involve a ton of grinding on home consoles. Oh well. At least it looks like they're using the extra horsepower of modern consoles to really expand the gameplay opportunities.
@Ralizah Agreed. I didn't really get the fuss about portable gaming until last year, despite having both a 3DS and a Vita. Decided to be a complete tryhard in senior year of high school with schedules going from 7 to 6 at the earliest, sometimes going till 11pm, not even counting homework. Then I made the awful decision to stay up till 2am to beat P5 and SMT4A, and completely f'd up my sleeping pattern the entirety of May.
Would love to see this on the Switch eventually, even if they have to make downgrades. I ain't gonna put in 200 hours like I did for 4U when I'm entering college that's for sure
@Ralizah You actually just reminded me of the plus subscription. Mine will run out in January and I'm not resubscribing, so I guess I'll be passing on this game on the PS4.
@triforcehero I have a better chance of fitting 100+ hours of Monster Hunter on the go then I do on my TV.
....But it looks terrific.
Awesome! Finally Monster Hunter on a system that isn't underpowered.
@dkxcalibur I won't even able to put in 10 Also got reminded that I need PS Plus to play online. Probably skipping this one, unfortunately, as diving into this game would be academical suicide for me.
This makes me want a lost planet open world with bigger beast . i can dream
