An oft-requested feature from the original Star Wars Battlefront will make its debut in the title’s sequel – and we’re not just talking about the single player campaign. Starfighter Assault is a new mode being added to Star Wars Battlefront II, which will see you engaging in space battles across three cinematic series eras.
EA’s really talking this up, boasting about “superior controls, deeper customization, and role-based team play featuring an all new class-based system”. The publisher will showcase a hearty chunk of gameplay footage from the mode during its Gamescom 2017 press conference next week, and you can find out when that’s scheduled to take place in our guide. You’ll be able to watch everything live here at Push Square.

It does look amazing but i doubt it wil be like the old battlefront 2 where you can jump in a ship and fly it into the enemys ship and take it out from the inside tht was a great game
@denzle7787 Yeah, I doubt it too. Guess we'll find out next week.
The space battles in Battlefront 2015 were fun, albeit with clunky controls. Handling looks to be smoother.
I don't particularly like the way EA is acting like this is some brand new feature. Why could they not have done all this from the start?
