It’s almost time for the monthly Instant Game Collection update, with the next batch of PlayStation Plus goodies to be given away on 4th July. But what are you hoping gets added as part of July 2017’s roster, and is there anything in particular you’ve got your fingers crossed for?
When will July 2017’s free PlayStation Plus games be announced?
We’re expecting an announcement of July 2017’s free PlayStation Plus games to be made on Wednesday, 28th June. Stay tuned to Push Square and we’ll bring you all of the news.
When will July 2017’s free PlayStation Plus games be available?
PlayStation Plus’ free games are usually made available starting from the first Tuesday in each new month, which in this case happens to be 4th July.
What are July 2017’s free PlayStation Plus games?
At the moment only one July 2017 free PlayStation Plus game has been announced: That’s You for the PlayStation 4. The social, smartphone-powered title is the first in Sony’s PlayLink series, and is designed to be played with friends and family, as you answer silly questions and take photos of each other. It’s also being described as a bonus game, so it sounds like you’re still going to get your full Instant Game Collection update in addition. Unfortunately, the release calendar is quite quiet on 4th July, so Sony may have to dip into its archives again.
Which free July 2017 PlayStation Plus games do you want?
The big question: what free PlayStation Plus games are you hoping for in July? With summer being here, we’ve got a sneaking suspicion Sony may giveaway something a little light-hearted on the PS4. Knack once again seems like a good shout – especially with the sequel on the way. But other possibilities include a LEGO game, or perhaps another co-op title like Overcooked to accompany That’s You.
What are you hoping gets added to PlayStation Plus in July 2017? Share some of your realistic suggestions in the comments section below, and remember to stay tuned to the site where we’ll bring you all of the news.

Can't see Knack being released on Plus given it's lukewarm reception it'd probably put more people off the sequel than it would attract.
Generally I'm not fussed though.
Curious to see what they will be, but my backlog will probably take the whole summer anyways. Although the mention of Overcooked would be fun to have, if I was picking
Bloodborne and Pac-Man dx2 please Sony.
I could see Overcooked and Pac-Man CE 2. as kyle said, Knack probably isn't coming to plus. at least until after 2 comes out. opinion or not the first game got a weak reception and it would likely hurt the sequel more than help.
Right now Star Wars Battlefront Ultimate Edition is Free when you sign up for 12 months of PS Plus.
@Bad-MuthaAdebisi I need to renew do you know if that counts or only new memberships?
I'm thinking we may get one of the 'recent' games that have been free with the Asian ps plus, so until dawn, just cause 3 or a koei game.
Although in reality it will Be a few indies and cross buy titles that are on vita.
I tend to grab a 2 day psplus trial in Asia every now and again for their games. Managed to platinum root letter the other day - a visual novel that was all in Japanese - wasn't easy but I had completed it in English a few weeks back so it was still fresh
@vegeta11 I think its any kind of joining shouldn't matter if you're lapsed
@Bad-MuthaAdebisi I'm good on plus through 07/13 just need to renew soon. I'll have to look at it when I get home. had to work this morning so not near my PS4.
Cosmic Star Heroine, Hyper Light Drifter or 2064: Read Only Memories. Anything cool like that.
RIME
Hyper Light Drifter
Bloodborne
Resi 4
Possibly/hopefully Lego Worlds as it has seemed to sunk in popularity as of late. Making it free for a month may increase its community and earn it some attention.
I want wonderboy the dragon trap, the sexy brutale, mother russia bleeds, or night in the wood.
Homefront the revolution
Witness and Root Letter for July PlayStation plus
@Bad-MuthaAdebisi i signed up through the days of play sale and just checked for Battlefront Ultimate, not free through that way.
somethink ive not purchased would be ok
@Get2SammyB At the start of the year Sony started announcing the following month's PS+ lineup on the last Wednesday of the month and releasing the games on the IGC on the first Tuesday of the month. So this upcoming Wednesday we'll find out.
After getting a taste of Hitman with Episode 1 being free this week; I'm hoping for the rest. But realistically, I go with some others in saying Hyper Light Drifter and throw in Salt and Sanctuary as its been in my Wish List for a while now.
The usual, I guess - JRPGs, racers, fighters, PS2, PS1 and PSP games. Nights of Azure, maybe? Even on PS4 (another game that didn't make it here on VITA, dagnabit), it would be nice to get while waiting for the sequel to be localised on Switch.
This month was dedicated to beating Dishonored (a truly amazing game), so I didn't even try Life Is Strange despite positive expectations. Been enjoying Neon Chrome on Vita quite a bit, though, and then it was a nice surprise to check the PS4 version and find local co-op in it (too bad the characters are less distinguishable than in, say, Enter the Gungeon, so I had trouble focusing of mine XD). So I dare expect more such surprises I haven't even considered or heard much about - IGC has a respectable track record of acquainting me with these. Really wish I had subscribed last January as soon as I got my Vita.
@Chris1975 Days of play is expired, on the EU store it shows under the PS plus discounts deals page
Anything VR
@kyleforrester87 Damn I came here to say Knack as it'll warm us up nicely for the newly announced sequel but your logic is good so I'll scrap that!
The japanese are getting Killzone Shadow Fall...
My birthday is on 4th of July, so give me something good please
It would surprise me if Overcooked was a "free" game, since it's about to launch on the Switch. But I believe it will be a game in the same mold/category as Overcooked.
Persona 5, Life of black tiger.

I'd really love to see Everything as a PS Plus game, been in the mood for something like that recently.
Hyper Light Drifter would be awesome. I already have it, but would love more people to play it. Excellent game.
This is super wishful thinking, but... Doom? Or Wolfenstein: The New Order?
Really pushing the word 'free' for a subscription service this month Sammy, is this an advertorial?
@JoeBlogs Just drop the word free and the headline still works and is snappier as it is shorter. Same for every large, bold sub-header too. I would argue that, even on the subconscious level, the word free has positive connotations to make a service that is far less than it used to be sound better than it is.
