Metal Gear Survive – the weird zombie-based co-op spin-off that’s landed Hideo Kojima in hot water with Konami once again – will release in 2018. The game – which we hadn’t even realised was at the convention – was originally scheduled for release this year, but has been “pushed back a few months” for polish.
Apparently, in addition to the online undead slaughtering, the survival game will also feature a “dense single player mode” in which you’ll embark on a “mysterious” adventure. Does anyone have any hope for this after Hideo Kojima left and took all of his senior staff members with him? Guess the jury’s still out, right?

I don't really care who makes, directs or writes the story, I just don't want another shooter. If it was a third person action or stealth game though I would be more optimistic.

I don't think any amount of polish is going to make this game good.
On the franchises tombstone it will read "Metal Gear, did not Survive"
It'll flop Survive is really just a cash-in one of the hands-on impressions said it felt like a undecooked PC mod, not a good impression.
My last greatest memories of Metal Gear Solid was Snake Eater and bits of MGS4. This one can rot with the zombies.
the chances for it to be a good "Game" is 50-50...but that is not the matter, "will it be a Metal Gear?" is what is important to ask...which I personally don't think so...
OH GOD! i had hoped this had been silently canned, MGS V wasn't that good and that was with Kojima doing it so who knows what mess this will end up as
MGS should have ended at 4 (well plus Rising Revengence)
Not seeing this ruined my E3, I needed something to make me smile. Seriously though, Konami would have to work pretty hard to convince me this isn't just a cash in to try and recoup more money from the cash they poured into MGSV using the same assets.
I know Hideo is seen by a god by many but life moves on without him. People hate on Komani just like they hate on EA and other big games companies.
It'll likely be a fun enough game and a laugh with friends but it isn't Metal Gear.
Be still my beating heart, as we skip over this risible embarrassment for all involved.

Hope springs eternal though i doubt Konami will learn anything from it.
It'll have to far exceed my expectations and be pretty cheap for me to even consider it.
Will probably give it a go if it comes to PS+, otherwise.. nah.
I love coop so hopefully it's good so me and my friends buy it when it's 20$ or less
A polished turd is still a turd :/
They should just quietly cancel this game. It could somehow massage the player while feeding them grapes and it would still be hated by so many people.
