We recently went hands on with Tekken 7 - a fighter that we could end up being one of the best on PlayStation 4. We spent around four or five hours with the almost finished release, and in that time, we were able to check out its various single player modes.

Now, single player content in fighting games has become something of a talking point since the launch of Street Fighter V. Infamously, Capcom's current-gen beat-'em-up released without much meat on its bones. Aside from a handful of extremely short and easy character episodes to play through, your only option when brawling offline was the unimaginative survival mode. To this day, the title still doesn't have an arcade mode, which, when you stop to really think about it, is pretty crazy.

By comparison, Tekken 7 is stuffed with things to do when you don't feel like taking the fight to other people. There's a rather in-depth story mode, a traditional arcade mode, and a seemingly super addictive addition called Treasure Battle. The latter feeds directly into the title's impressive customisation system, which allows you to dress up your favourite characters with custom clothing and items.

In the video embedded above, you can watch us put the single player experience to the test as we battle our way through story mode and have a crack at Treasure Battle. We even take a look through Kuma's wardrobe for good measure.
