Ubisoft has confirmed the existence of Far Cry 5 and... That's about it. In an official forum post, the publisher has revealed a generic logo and asks "Are you ready for a hefty dose of new Far Cry adventures?" We've got no other details to go on right now, other than the recent rumour that it'll be set in the Wild West, with cowboys and all that. That logo doesn't exactly look Western though, does it?
In any case, we're bound to see the title at Ubisoft's E3 press conference next month. What are you hoping to see? Open your world in the comments section below.

Thanks @shogunrok I understand they also announced the crew 2, assassins creed and south Park, the fractured but whole for this financial year. Bit bizarre to tweet all of these before E3, but I guess they have all been announced/leaked already ; or will be mentioned in the annual financials this week:

After Far Cry 4...show me something half way decent....
Really hope this is a western.
I loved Far Cry 4, was a great world to explore, that logo seems a bit minimal, a bit futuristic.
Be nice if it was set in the future while Assassins Creed does the reverse in its past Eypt thing
I hope Far Cry 5 changes things up a bit. Far Cry 4 was fine, but it was essentially a reskinned FC3, and the second half was a real slog because it was all so familiar.
The new logo is interesting. Looks far too modern for a Western, although it could simply be a placeholder. Looking forward to seeing it at E3
I hope for Far Fry's sake that it isn't a western with Red Dead 2 near.
I'm in the vocal minority on the Internet, I really enjoyed farcry 4 and my only issue was that you became to overpowered by the end. Looking forward to seeing what they have in store for the next installment. I'm not to interested in western but think a mix of urban and rural would be great.
I think the rumors say that it is set in Montana but on modern day.
I really enjoyed Far Cry Primal, I actually got the platinum for it.
Far Cry 4 I only played about halfway through. Problem was it felt too familiar compared to the 3rd game. Interesting to see what Ubi does with the fifth game.
Let's go Sci-Fi!
I hope it's not a Western. Maybe a desert setting but I think setting it in the wild west would be limiting.
I thought 4 was boring but Primal was really good because it was different.
I hope it is a western or something a bit crazy.
