Robert Ramsey rejoice: Capcom has confirmed that Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen is coming to the PlayStation 4 as part of a reveal in the latest issue of Famitsu magazine. The dark fantasy role-playing game was one of the PlayStation 3’s underrated gems, and this re-release is being developed to celebrate the series’ fifth anniversary.
While it’s only been confirmed for Japan at this time, we’d be flabbergasted if it didn’t all deploy in the West. Obviously the publisher has been doubling down on ports and re-releases since the start of the generation, so this seems like the natural next step – it’s starting to run out of Resident Evil titles after all. Great news. I may finally get to play it!
One of the best action RPGs ever made, in my opinion. Cannot wait.
Now THIS is the game that I'll definitely double dip. Had tons of fun with the game despite the framerate drops, camera angles, dumb Ai moments, boring open world and boring sidequests.
Despite its flaws, this is the remaster that I will really love to play again. Hoping that they'll release Dragon's Dogma Online overseas as well. Exclusive or not, I don't care.
Played it a bit, liked it a lot. Will keep an eye for the remake.

About time. Incredible game and one of the real standout RPGs of last gen. This will be the fifth time I've bought it (360, PS3, PS3 Dark Arisen, PC and soon PS4) so you can tell how much I love it.
DD at a good framerate? I'd buy that on a sale. Probably won't have the Berserk armour sets though...

Dragon's Dogma was a brilliant RPG i loved it, so i'll definitely be buying this again.

@Feena - Decent story but combat is where the game really shines.
Will certainly pick this up! Loved it, but never completed it for some reason. Remember burning out at some point.

I'm so chuffed. The combat in this game is so enjoyable, probably the best I've played. Magic archer time for me again.

Ah love this game but hated the lack of fast travel! Gave up purely because lack of time to waste going back and forth. Capcom you listening 😘 please make this ultimate edition or something with all the graphical updates and UI touches... And fast travel pls... repeat fast travel lol!!! Then for me it'll be one of the best open world hack and slash RPGs. I'm sure game reviewers have mentioned this basic flaw before. 😄

I remember this game being hard and a weird town.
@ApostateMage Sadly it won't happen due to Curt Schilling's legal problems.
This game has a very steep learning curve - don't wander into the wrong area! That being said, when it clicked it was a TON of fun. They did a great job with the classes.

@ztpayne7 Having said that, I hope they do something about the NG+ difficulty. Always bothered me that you kept your levels/gear/abilities but the game didn't get any harder.

I think I tried playing this on PS3, but it was another one of those games I couldn't make time for before I moved to PS4, might still be interested in this...
The game had alot of small flaws but the combat was realy amazing and I played it alot of hours, so realy looking forward to playing this again.
Ohhhh I have this on PC as well as on 360, but I wouldn't mind it on PS4 too! I desperately want a sequel!
Excited to try this out, as I missed in on PS3 and never got around to buying it on PC
