Hella good news here: Life Is Strange is getting a sequel. The sombre tale of Max Caulfield and Chloe Price touched over three million players when it launched episodically between January 2015 and October 2015, and developer DONTNOD has confirmed that a new entry in the series is on the way. Are we cereal? Yes.

“We can’t wait to tell you all about it when the time is right, but for now we are hard at work ensuring it is the very best game we can create,” the studio said in a blog post. “We’re really thankful for your patience thus far and ask for a bit more time. The new game will not be at E3 in June this year but we will be watching the show alongside you all and wish everyone good luck.”

Let’s not beat around the bush here: we’re beyond hyped. It’ll be interesting to see which direction the developer takes, though. Will it continue the story of the first game which seemed to wrap up quite conclusively, or will it sprout off in a different direction with a new cast?
