It's the long Easter weekend for many of you, but work continues on The Last of Us: Part II in Los Angeles. Various members of the cast have been Tweeting about the game today, with Ashley Johnson – also known as Ellie – leading the charge with this little tidbit:

Neil Druckmann then followed up with this clip of newcomer Shannon Woodward wielding a machete. Who will she play we wonder?
Finally, judging by this picture of co-writer Halley Gross, there'll definitely be horses in the game. And if you look closely behind the back of the prop, you may spot a doll.
Will the sequel include a baby or two? There was that American Daughters Easter egg in Uncharted 4: A Thief's End after all. Interesting.

Wow. Now I started to wonder if Woodward will be playing a villain.
I'm so much looking forward to this game, it's hard to put into words.
I think Woodward's going to be part of the "crew" myself. Let's not forget, everyone's kind of a villain in The Last of Us universe. I wouldn't be surprised if she was a love interest.
@get2sammyb Is there really a proper villain in TLOU cos in the world that it has, everyone in the first game did question things because it's a world without rules.
Villain: a character whose evil actions or motives are important to the plot.
Without heavy story spoilers. Don't remember the name, but the guy who runs the crew that guns down the couple in TLOU just to check if they got some stuff on them (assuming he is the guy asking for the deer too), could definitely be called a villain. Just because it's a world in chaos doesn't mean that there can't be a villain from the heroes' / story's perspective.
@blourf I think his name was John, can't remember. Yeah he was the closest thing to a Villain, even then you could say he did the things he did to keep his people alive which is inexcusable but like I say, a world without rules.
It's interesting that the article mentions a doll, cos in U4 there was a comic teaser of TLOU which seemed to show a pregnant character (Ellie maybe?)
Really, this is years away. This crap is worse than the double trailers for Death Stranding. Ugh.
Let's see if they can actually make a game this time.
Always got to be one of you who somehow think ND games aren't games. Oh that's right I forgot tlou was a 20 plus hour game with a total of an hour and a half of cutscenes so that automatically disqualifies it from being a game smh gtho.
@waluigifan1 Yawn.
@waluigifan1 Good bait.
@waluigifan1 Bait comment is bait
@get2sammyb Although i loved left behind. I love how subtle it was with R@4163 in left behind and Bill ( in LoU) . I hope its going to be a villian as the love interest thing was done in left behind, but i guess Neill wants to show off the San Francisco leftist culture xD. As Colin always says implementent something bevause its for the story not for some kind of Agenda ( i think im alone on this point on this Website).
@Sanquine I don't think it's unreasonable to expect people to fall in love in the post-apocalypse. There's no reason it can't be handled with the exact same subtlety as Left Behind.
@dark_knightmare2 I loved the Crash trilogy and Jak 1. Felt like everything they did afterwards was crap.
I don't have high hopes on this
I want they let joel and Eli just go away cause theyre story is already finished
But i like revenge theme but come on what's wrong with making new character for game? I don't feel good about story
P.s: what i interested in is: maybe joel is an ilusion ! that's fine <3 (kojima style confrimed)
She might be part of Ellie's family
@Sanquine Nah, you're not alone on this. I don't really like it when games are pushing an political or social agenda, regardless of whether I agree or disagree with them. And I also know that Druckmann likes to push those things in his games. That's always nagging me when I played TLOU and UC4 to an extent, you never know when something is implement just because it made sense, or because there's some social or political reason behind it. But maybe I'm overthinking this stuff!
@Octane Yes, i mean the political agenda. Its like UC4.. How can Nadine kick two grown men asses while drake is equal to a mass murderer and Sam is a criminal who Just got out of a prison. I mean i know she is good in fighting but it was the same with the fight between drake and Nadine at the auction. Hé could not hit her one single time. Seems Druckmann Just want to portray strong Black /lesbian woman pure for his own feel good feeling.. Aloy for me ( HZD) was far less political in my mind.
@Sanquine I've always said that the only reason I'm looking forward to Lost Legacy is because it's a ND game. Nadine was a pretty forgettable character for me, despite her kick-ass appearance. Ironically, the first three Uncharted games were directed by Amy Hennig, always thought that was an interesting observation too.
I like that you brought up HZD, I'm feeling the same way and I'm loving Aloy as a character so far. I also don't think it was the intention of Guerilla Games to set out and make an agenda in HZD. Aloy was just part of the original pitch, they stuck with her and developed her as a character, and I never got the feeling that they decided she should be a female, because of her gender.
Don't know if you watched the interview between Neil Druckmann and Hermen Hulst. Unsurprisingly, Neil asked Hermen about the motivation, the intention and the effects of choosing a female lead, but it felt like Hermen was avoiding the question, because I don't think he felt like he was pushing a social agenda. I don't know, playing HZD, it definitely didn't feel like they wanted to push an agenda, something that I that did kinda nag me in TLOU and UC4. I always prefer characters with substance over characters that exist to tick off a box, they are rarely interesting.
I wasn't to keen on the campaign in TLOU if I remember right the story was ok but the gameplay sucked, there was only 3 type's of enemy's throughout the whole game. The best thing in TLOU was the MP but I was late to that party and not many people still played it so I never experienced it fully. I might consider this for the MP, any talk of MP in this one?
@Sanquine eye roll I find it a little funny you are offended by ND's strong female characters. And then because Nadine is a strong woman of color she's a lesbian in your eyes. Really? I think you might need to get out more. And then you like Aloy because, why? Seems hypercritical. Aloy is strong, sassy and political.
And if you don't like ND, don't play their games. Pretty simple solution for you.
@waluigifan1 I am partially in agreement with you. I mean, it is a game, but it's highly overrated. I love Uncharted though.
