Can we safely say that Capcom is all in on e-sports at this point, and won't be responding to the complaints that single player fans had with Street Fighter V? Probably, because the game continues to bloat in content, but virtually all of it seems aimed at the more competitive players enjoying it online.
Today's new content: Capcom Pro Tour 2017 stuff. It's quite common for games to offer DLC that's used to part-fund tournament kitties now, and the new stuff in the Japanese publisher's popular brawler will be used for exactly that. The new items include a couple of new costumes for Ken and Ryu, as well as an as-of-yet-to-be-revealed outfit and a fresh stage.
Those of you who purchase the Capcom Pro Tour 2017 Premier Pass will get all of the above goods, in addition to two new titles, one new colour for all 28 characters, and monthly in-game targets that will reward you with Fight Money should you complete them. The Premier Pass will set you back an eye-watering $29.99, with 30 per cent of the revenue being added to the Capcom Cup prize pool.
No thanks.

Hopefully if it ever happens, Street Fighter 6 won't be as much of an insult as 5 is.
What a great show this turned out to be. It had so much potential and they just squandered it all to get it out the door for e-sports.

Street Fighter and any similar fighting games have issues with online difficulty due to their depth. I pretty much gave up trying to compete as I was getting hammered every time as I started the game a few months late. Also Virgin media refuses to let me play sf5 online due to its restrictions unless I turn every virgin safety feature off! Total nonsense.
So if it's all in with online, I'm all offline with other games which have single player to improve my skills.
Kinda waiting on that so called patch.
Um...No. at this point sfv is destined to be used as a part exchange for tekken. It's currently nothing more than a glorified drinks coaster
@shonenjump86 it's been delayed for quality checking but there will be another beta on pc apparently. Chun li is the only character that is virtually unchanged from vanilla season 2 sadly ...but now we have to hit kick 5 times instead of 4 for the hyakuretsukyaku so I won't activate it unwillingly all the time. Zangief changes are scary: a new special (counter), headbutt that does 400 stun and a new throw
Well, if this cow milking is just for online players, that means I am safe. Don't even have Plus anymore.
@Feena
I see, thanks for the info on that. I accidentally activate hyakuretsukyaku at times. Kinda annoying.
