The ultimate battle between comic books and Capcom will reignite once more from 19th September, as Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite has been dated. As part of a big blowout, the Japanese publisher has confirmed that eight new characters will join the release's roster at launch: Strider Hiryu, Chun-Li, Chris Redfield, Hulk, Thor, Hawkeye, Rocket Raccoon, and Ultron. That brings the tally up to 14 now, with Ryu, Morrigan, Mega Man X, Captain America, Iron Man, and Captain Marvel all already confirmed.

A new story trailer reveals the title's primary villain: Ultron Sigma, a mash-up between the Marvel baddie and the antagonist from the Mega Man X series. Unfortunately, the developer's already up to its old tricks, announcing that you'll be able to play as Sigma if you purchase the title's Season Pass; he'll be one of six new characters assuming you stump up.

You'll get the Season Pass with the Deluxe Edition of the game, which will set you back $89.99 in the United States. This version also comes with a couple of extra costumes: Gladiator Hulk and Command Mission X. Pre-ordering any version will net you the Warrior Thor and Evil Ryu threads, while there is a $199.99 Collector's Edition which comes with four interlinking dioramas from TriForce, plus LED-powered Infinity Stones and a copy of the aforementioned Deluxe Edition.

Phew, that's a lot of information to digest. Can we conclude with one comment, though: the art style sucks.
