Still haven't invested in a pro as I have a PC. However I much prefer playing on my PS4. Seriously tempted to buy a pro soon. My current PS4 is running like a jet engine so it may be time to upgrade.
@stevie85 I really love the PS4 Pro personally. You do get a noticeable boost in visual clarity (even on 1080p screens) but it's still the same system you know and love.
I know a lot of people don't see the point and that's fine, but if you play PS4 a lot, I think it's just a no-brainer. And the cool thing about it is, it's been built in such a way that it improves upon the base PS4 experience without affecting it.
I like my Pro and, despite being hesitant I upgraded and felt like I made the right decision. Just the space and quieter fan does it for me. Plus, sold my launch ps4 and had some vouchers so not too expensive.
I've just bought a Pro 1tb model from Very in the UK, cost me £283 as a new customer with a 20% discount code.......i'll find out tomorrow if it was a lie or not as that's when it's being delivered! Good deal though ☺
Finally bought a pro model from game store for about $443. I was waiting for 4 month for a pro with good price and warranty, seriously why it's taken this long for sony to sell ps4 pro in asia.
Now, I only need to upgrade its internal hdd to 2T..
It's only me or psn download speed is really slow for old ps4 now, when I update horizon (in the same hour), ps4 old need about 20-30 minutes while ps4 pro only need 5-7 minutes for about 300mb patch (I delete horizon on ps4 old and update it again to check the download time). Is it a bug? Now I understand why it's taken a couple of days to download nier automata on my old ps4 while usually it only take 1 night to download 40gb games. I use wifi and cable on old ps4, the result is the same.
I wanna wait and see if PlayStation will do a LE pro of either Days Gone or Spiderman. I'm guessing the Spiderman one will have a Red, White and Blue color scheme. Just like the flag.

@get2sammyb I have't had much of a chance to game the last few months due to work and college. I have missed out on some great games over the last few months. A shiny new PS4 might light the fire for me to jump back in.
@stevie85 well it appears its been dispatched, so I'll find out tomorrow if it arrives! Some have said the code wouldn't work but I gave it a whirl and it did, so thought stuff it why not! Only £100 over what I got for my old Ps4 console which isn't bad really....

Added a western digital HD 4TB finally, now have 300+ games downloaded without having to screw with memory management and still have 3TB space leftover!! Finally Sony thx!!
@get2sammyb Just bought a new Pro. It runs great but when I open the map in Horizon it sometimes starts making loud noises, just like my old PS4 did when running a game from disc.
Is this normal?
I hope not, cuz I'm about to return it for a new Pro.
@DLB3 Today I'll try some other demanding games to see if I can reproduce the issue. I figured the Pro shouldn't have this problem. Weird thing is that even in busy fights it stays very quiet, only when I open the map it sometimes starts to produce noise.

@DLB3 Yep! Disc version owned. Just put in Uncharted 4 (disc) cuz my old vanilla PS4 went nuts with fans with this game. Pro stayed very silent.
Might indeed be a Horizon bug. Played FFXV, Horizon and U4. Only time it happens is when opening Horizon's map.
I bought the pro, its bad ass but that wasnt the expensive part, no. The expensive part is the damn tv. I ended up with the samsung 65" ks8500 curved that set me back 1,600, but man do games look absolutely breathtaking
@DLB3 Stupid I didn't think of googling this. At least, I found out that I can switch from visual to performance mode to reduce the sound. So thanks for the info!!

I saw an original model PS4 at a local mom & pops store factory sealed for $149.99 I was seriously tempted, but reality sunk in that I STILL couldn't afford it ATM...
All very good deals, but I plan on holding out until Black Friday.
