It's safe to say that Mass Effect: Andromeda is a divisive title. Some are happy with it while others think it's a disappointment - but as is usually the case with developer BioWare, it's more than happy to listen to feedback. With that in mind, the studio has tweeted out an official statement regarding its current position.
"We've received quite a bit of feedback, some of it positive and some of it critical," it reads. "That feedback is an important part of our ongoing support of the game, and we can't wait to share more of our immediate plans with you on Tuesday, April 4th."
Again, given that the game was met with a very mixed response, BioWare's statement suggests that the developer is ready to buckle down and address its issues. Whatever the studio actually ends up doing, it'll be interesting to see what it has in store for next week.
"In the meantime, keep your feedback coming," the statement continues. "Our team is listening, working around the clock to gather information and plan our solutions to improve and build on Mass Effect: Andromeda."
What are you hoping to see from BioWare? Set your cryosleep pods to the 4th April in the comments section below.

Sounds great! I though I'd pick this up on release, but all the bad press made me think twice.
Sure, fix the bad bugs, but it's not like they can fix the animations/planet scanning/etc etc. It's also unreasonable to expect them to after release when the actual paying customers have already begun playing the game as is.
By all means, fix the bugs, stable out the framerate for consoles, but don't change major aspects of your work just to pander to a few whiners (looking at you, Blizzard). Instead, let this game be a reminder for the next game that you absolutely can do better than this.
I guess they've shelved the release of their talking heads animated movie. I would be interested to see what they do in future updates though not sure how they can bring the sales back up.
The only bad things about this game are the facial animations (no Mass Effect had great ones) and some minor bugs (which can be fixed), I hope this gets the same level of commitment Inquisition got. Would love some future DLC that includes new planets and new enemies etc.
Basically the dev studio acknowledged the game was rushed and could have use a few more months of polishing... It's not a bad game by any mean, the underlying mechanism is plausible.. it's just they didn't have enough time to finish it..
It's a little sad this seems to be a trend now in the industry.
After hesitating to buy it and had no other games to play right now, I thought better Mass Effect than nothing.
Now playing it, I feel the only real issues with the game are purely technical and easily fixed with patches.
I don't come across too many strange animations. And I guess since I am playing a good-looking guy as my character ( customized), I have not seen any strange animations on him.
I so far really like the team. Not sure if it will come close to the ME1-3 team (I love Garrus), but at least they are quite interesting.
Hope some fixes are coming soon, I am actually enjoying this game a lot. But sometimes the FPS drops are really noticeable (PS4 Pro).
Nobody cares anymore. Wash your hands and start again.
I too think the main issues are bugs and glitches - had a few crashes too and it would be great if they could lock the frame rate too. I have around 60hrs clocked in now - Ryder is level 42 and I am around 50% complete - still not touched the MP either.
Some Dialogue is 'poor' but not all - a bit like the predecessors. The animations are no worse than the old games too - maybe highlighted more because of the quality of more recent games and the visual of this. As for Lip Synch, Ryder and the humans do look off at times but Dreck (Krogan) looks fine to me. I think its too late to fix 'some' issues - like the animations. It is a bit annoying to have a convo with someone who keeps repeatedly using their omni tool to do 'nothing'.
It is, or at least feels bigger than the predecessors and I am enjoying the game overall. In some ways its a bit too safe and does remind me a bit of Horizon. Remnant Vaults are a bit like Cauldrons for example and there is the 'underlying' story of two sides after 'ancient' tech. Scanning and side quests can appear similar as you play 'detective' to solve a murder or locate some missing person too. Its certainly not as polished as Horizon but there are 'some' similarities - not a bad thing at all and I am not accusing Bioware of 'copying' - I doubt they did as the games were in development at the same time and only released weeks apart.
As I said, the main things I want to see fixed are bugs and glitches.
Fair play to them for at least acknowledging it.. Not burying their collective heads in the sand like Hello Games did.
I think this means free DLC, honestly. Even the statement alone suggests they're desperate for people not to trade the game in.
Here's some feedback: Don't release unfinished games.
I guarantee that they announce some patches to fix technical issues, and then DLC. Gotta get that DLC out there.
Personally, I think the game is fine. It's not amazing. The technical issues seem to have been blown out of proportion, or I've been very lucky. The biggest problem for me is that it's just a bit boring to play. The open worlds suck, and the side-quests would mostly be better if they weren't there.
I doubt they can fix everything that was wrong the game. Even if they manage to somehow fix the animations, the writing, the ugly character models, the bugs, the voice acting, the grindy nature of the game, the It's uninspired level design, the terrible combat AI, and overall forgettable aspect of the entire game I think the damage is done. I hope people are done paying $60 for boring early access games.
However their vision for this game was always going to be divisive. They should just let the franchise die.
Does it involve redoing the entire script?
@Constable_What this game is far from boring.
"Let the franchise die" you're having a laugh aren't ya? It's the best sci fI franchise on console.
@itshoggie If that's your standard for the best sci-fi franchise on console then more power to you. I personally think Bioware was having a laugh when they released Mass Effect Andromeda. Because it's horrible.
@Constable_What what's better than it?. It's far from horrible!
@itshoggie Nier Automata and Horizon obviously; there are plenty of other games I enjoyed much much more than Mass Effect Andromeda (So many more). You may not think it's horrible, but I do. I listed a bunch of reasons why I think it is horrible, and even worse than that why it just diminishes the quality of the storytelling from Mass Effect 1-3. It's an abortion of modern writing. If you can't move on from that I don't know what to tell you.
And I mean asking the question "What's better than Mass Effect Andromeda?", is like asking "What's better than waiting in line at the DMV? ". The answer is anything.
Apparently that is national tell a lie day so I'm not sure what to believe.
Glad I decided to get ZELDA BOTW instead of MassEffectAndromeda and Horizon - when I'm done with Zelda (and persona haha) this will be cheaper and - hopefully - patched and fixed (: sorry to all those das one buyers but yea - it mostly doesn't pay off anymore to buy day one ..
They had enough time to finish the game. Using that as an excuse for cheesy and poor dialogue, poorly written antagonists, lack of variety and discovery (seemingly important considering the theme) and monotonous open world gameplay (even after the chore of Induisition) doesn't fly. Other games have been released in the same timeframe with more polish. Just do better next time. It's also funny that they say they're always open to feedback when a lot of well written and well thought out critical feedback used to get deleted off their forums before they closed them down.
