Horizon: Zero Dawn's just about a month away from release, and Sony's currently in the process of hosting a big press tour, where journalists are getting hands on with (we assume) the almost final build. This is a big, bulky press event, with those attending able to spend a whopping four hours with the role-playing release. It means we should learn a lot more about the title's structure, story, and crucially whether its side-quests are any good.
It also means that, in addition to the previews, there'll presumably be a bunch of new footage published by Sony itself; seeing as it's already released a cinematic trailer, we're expecting a more gameplay focused clip this time. Yay! I wanna know more about the world of Horizon. Combat looks really good, but this is a RPG after all.

@RenanKJ Agreed. That said, from what I've played, this is going to have like some of the best RPG combat ever. It literally plays like an action game — and a good one at that.
If they can nail the writing and quest design then...
Definitely want to know where it stands between witcher-quality side quests vs climb a tower to reveal all the dots you have to collect (I did hear the tall dinos were towers in the AC sense - is that true?)
@get2sammyb I trust Guerrilla is gonna nail it. I mean, Killzone is a great shooter and that's the core of the game; in RPGs, the core is the story and quests, so I think they're gonna bring it, hehe. And if it's on par with the combat, Sony's got a reason to be so excited about this game.
And speaking of combat, what was your favorite thing about it when you played the game?
@Mega-Gazz I think that's true yes, though I'll be surprised if this turns into a Ubisoft game really. As far as quests go I think their structed like "a camp quest which they will want resources, story quests speak themselves and personal quests which is to do with individual people" I know also that you can set mini quests for yourself so you can get a specific item you want.
@RenanKJ It reminded me of BioShock in that you have a bunch of tools and you can choose how you want to use them. I always find that kind of combat fun.
I'm avoiding press on it as much as possible. It's definitely starting to dig away at the game. I just wanna play it and not have things spoiled.
I almost don't want to see any more of Horizon, seeing as it's so close to release, but I'll inevitably read/listen to impressions. All I really need to hear is "the story is actually pretty good" and I'll be fine.
Same here, don't necessarily want to know more, but I'm sure that I'll end up listening to some of the early impressions.

I've seen it. I want it. I don't want it ruining for me. So I'm on media blackout for this game until I'm watching the end credits rolling.
Gameplay-wise it looks brilliant. The setting looks interesting and the story something I can get behind. My only real concern is the writing/voice acting which - from the very few things I've seen - might be a stumbling block.

Yeah, I really like games with good fighting style options. From what I've seen, the combat looks almost like a class system in itself. Would you say that, Sammy, having played it?
well I dont really want to see anymore details about it, the game is really near its release, so I'd rather skip the media and Press, the less you know the better the game will be...that's my belief!
@starhops Not sure, would need to see more of it. What we got to play had like four or five different arrow types that you could use to take down the enemies in different ways.
