Square Enix is celebrating Final Fantasy's 30th Anniversary right now, and it's offered a new look at Final Fantasy VII Remake as part of the revelling. Don't get your hopes up for a new trailer, though: the publisher's instead opted for some keyart of Cloud standing in front of the infamous Shinra Building. Squint and you may see Sephiroth's silhouette lurking in the background, too.
And that's it: no new trailer, no release date, and no further information. The pointy haired protagonist does look like he's spent the past year or so in the gym, which is good news for those of you worrying that he wouldn't be able to wield his customary Buster Sword with wrists extending right up to his biceps.

Really wish we'd had a little more info of some kind, but still ridiculously excited for this. Midgar remains one of my favourite ever settings for a game and I can't wait to explore it all over again. After the squeaky clean urban utopias of FFXV I'm really curious to see how much detail they can pack into the the bleak and polluted world of VII.
I'm really worried that this is going to be rubbish, but I'm still going to throw money at it even if it is. What is this feeling.

I'd wager this will be an E3 thing. I could be wrong of course as Square are trying to make sure their RPGs all get a chance to shine equally.
@Churchy Yeah they did say that they would be showing up at an event this year with FF7 so I think we'll have a nice trailer then.

There's no way that they'll be able to re-create the charm of the original into this remake.
Love the slightly more beefy Cloud...just because he looked like an emo vampire in the teaser. I hope they take all the time this needs to be done...and people, relax. They had already said they are going to show the title at a major event this year.
