PlayStation Awards 2016 PS4 PS3 Vita 1

Sony's annual PlayStation Awards ceremony in Japan is a little bit weird, because it generally recognises commercial success ahead of critical acclaim. It's also unusual in that there's an award tier designed to recognise titles that sell over one million units domestically, but that rarely happens in the East anymore.

Still, the show was held overnight in Japan, and we've collated all of the winners for you below. If you care, like.

If you're wondering why there's no Final Fantasy XV, the data range that Sony used to determine this year's winners was 1st October 2015 through to 30th September 2016. As such, Final Fantasy XV will be eligible for next year's award. Can it scrape that Platinum Prize?
