Reus to the occasion

The holiday season is well and truly upon us, which means that this week probably represents your final opportunity to clear your backlog – unless you're already busy with FIFA 17, of course. The coming weeks will see the introduction of a not-so insignificant number of games, including Mafia III, Battlefield 1, and more. Are you ready for the impending influx?

I'll be rearranging my entire media centre in order to make room for PlayStation VR. I imagine it's going to be a bit like a puzzle game involving copious cables.

I've been in a dark, dark place this week. I can't concentrate, sleep has been elusive to say the least, and I haven't eaten properly in days. The source of my stress? Darkest Dungeon of course! This adversity will continue over the weekend, as I push both myself, and my roster of heroes, to the limit in this dungeon crawler. When that all gets too much, I'll also be hopping on the Destiny loot treadmill, as I try and get raid ready.

I'm pretty excited to play the remaster for Resident Evil once it joins the Instant Game Collection, but until then I'll probably be spending a lot of my time with some of my standbys of NHL 16 and Rainbow Six: Siege. Sure, I could upgrade to NHL 17, but based on how little I cared for the demo, I think I'd rather just stick with what I have.

I'm still plugging away at Final Fantasy VIII from the original PlayStation (and loving every second of it, I might add), so I expect to put some more time into that. I'll also be watching the football this weekend and mixing it up with a little FIFA 17 or PES 2017. Choices, choices, eh?

I'm playing Aragami this weekend! I'm looking forward to seeing if the stealth gameplay is as fun and fluid as it looks. Besides review duty, I'll be squeezing in some Overwatch and The Witness as well.
