Tokyo Game Show PS4 PlayStation 4 Sony 1

Sony held its annual Tokyo Game Show press conference earlier today, which was well assembled if a little light on content. While the platform holder didn't have a whole lot of new content to show, it did offer meaningful updates on a slew of different titles, attaching release dates to anticipated exclusives like NieR Automata and NiOh.

It was a good, varied briefing, with a mix of Japanese and Western games. The manufacturer also did a decent job demonstrating its various hardware initiatives, with PlayStation VR in particular being treated to a dozen or so "non-game" announcements, which is where the future of virtual reality probably lies.

Here's everything you need to know so far, but we'll update this recap as soon as more trailers and stories from the press conference are posted on the site.
