Beyond Good & Evil PS4 PlayStation 4 1

Beyond Good & Evil 2 seems to have been in the pipeline for an eternity, and now Ubisoft veteran Michel Ancel has hinted that the project may be back on. The Wild Sheep Studio founder – who's also working with Sony on the fascinating PlayStation 4 exclusive WiLD – posted a most interesting picture on Instagram today: concept art with the caption, "Thanks to Ubisoft for making this possible."

Quit piggin' teasing

The picture shows what appears to be a piglet-esque Uncle Pey'j, who was protagonist Jade's primary side-kick in the original game. Even more intriguingly, Ubisoft France is directing people to Ancel's account. Now it could just be that the company has allowed the Rayman maker to share some concept art on Instagram – or it could be a hint at something to come.

There is speculation, of course, that Nintendo may be somehow involved in the project, and that it'll launch on the Nintendo NX. We'll have to wait and see if that turns out to be case, but given that the original was a popular PlayStation 2 game and its sequel was expected on the PlayStation 3, we'd like to think that the long-awaited follow-up will wind up on the PS4.
