Much like the first Watch Dogs, Watch Dogs 2 will feature "seamless" online functionality, allowing you to connect with other players while you roam around doing story missions. You'll be able to form co-op groups with friendly hackers, take part in invasions, and even hunt down players who have been causing a bit too much trouble. On the flip side, strangers can invade your game, and hunt you down if you're the one causing chaos. What's more, all of the progress that you make while playing online will carry over to the single player campaign.

It all sounds pretty cool, but what if you're not up for socialising? The title's Gamescom trailer reiterates that you won't have to take part in any multiplayer activities if you don't want to - it's all entirely optional.

Will you be hacking your friends later this year? Take someone offline in the comments section below.
