You've heard us go gaga over the sublime crystal DualShock 4, but Sony clearly isn't content with just one lavish hardware trailer. The PlayStation maker's just thrown out another video showcasing the steel black controller, which, while not quite as impressive as the aforementioned transparent beauty, is still rather handsome.
Is the pad really forged in molten metal? We're not so sure, but you've got to admit that its metalic sheen makes for a compelling controller. Much like the crystal DualShock 4, the steel black version is due out next week in Europe.

I like both, but if I was forced to pick one of them, I think I'd probably go for the metallic black controller.
I'm gonna have to join the bandwagon here. The transparent one is hideous and tacky. This one is much nicer.
I'm a fan of the white one personally, and the silver one that was branded for the arkham knight release is nice too.
Tope three PS4 controllers for me are 1. 20thh Annaversary (the one with the cosnole which was given away) 2. Gun metal (even though I am against people owning guns) 3 Star Wars controller.
The crystal one looks like cheap knock off you buy on Ebay or at your local market which has been mass produced in China. No offence China I just chose you because you make a lot of stuff. I do think its the worst looking controller so far. But they are playing the nostalgia card so some will like it even though back in the day I did not like crystal controllers and my stance has not softened over the years.
I'd prefer a higher quality controller like the Elite controller for the Xbone.
Or an orange DS4.
Release an orange one, Sony.
It's just a controller guys ffs! I think this is rather attractive but there's nowt wrong with the standard black ones imo.

Hopefully this one comes to North America soon. Def. the best looking one so far imo.
@Ralizah I don't think the Elite is high quality.. it does not even have the analog sticks and the d-pad in the right position lol...
New color, same old short battery life. Nice color, but basic black is all i want.

This is great. I am so tempted to get one. However I still think the best color was the Metal Gear Solid V Limited Edition Console version of the controller, with reflective gunmetal finish and all. It seems to be slightly different hue than this one, but I 'm not sure.
