Gravity Rush 2 – known as Gravity Daze 2 overseas, of course – will be dated in Japan during a presentation scheduled for 19th July. The event will be hosted at Ebisu Act Square, and will begin at 14:30PM JST – about 06:30AM BST if you're in the UK. It'll be attended by series creator Keiichiro Toyama, composer Kohei Tanaka, and SIEJ chief Atsushi Morita.
In addition to the release date, the platform holder will also share info about the release's upcoming anime, while attendees will be able to play the title for the first time in Japan. There'll also be 'Gravity Drops' for everyone to take home – a candy based upon the upcoming game.
The sequel's allegedly still on track for 2016, so we reckon that it will probably deploy in December in its home nation, just like Gravity Rush Remastered. It's unlikely that we'll get a Western date during this event, but we're going to guess that it will probably drop out of the sky in early 2017 in Europe and North America – it'll get buried if it launches during the holidays, after all.

Loved Gravity Rush Remastered and to be honest between all the so called juggernaut I'll buy Gravity Rush 2
Playing though Remastered atm and really enjoying it as I found the controls a bit fiddly on Vita.
Looking forward to GR2 whenever it releases...
I just picked up Gravity Rush Remastered in the sale and I didn't expect it to be this good. Its a really charming game with some cool game mechanics I regret ignoring the praise this game gets for so long.

I really like the first game on ps vita and have the remaster version on ps4. I hope sony choose the right date and not release it with heavy hitters like cod on fall, or horizon/persona 5 on early 2017.

@Neolit I like your taste in games Valkyria Chronicles was my PS3 favorite game. I hope that the new will come to Europe i heard the even change the gameplay after all the feedback.
Loved Gravity Rush on PS4, on Vita the combat and traversal felt a bit to fiddly for it to be enjoyable all the time. I suspect the game will get a bit of a push in Japan but can't see it doing much over here sadly.
Awesome hopefully it'll release this year in the west as well. It's personally my most anticipated game followed by the Crash Remasters.

I think unfortunately Gravity Rush 2 will be lucky to sell 250K which is sad when you consider the size of the PS4 userbase. But why try something different when there's Madden, Fifa or another generic FPS or cinematic action game?

The original is one of the main reasons I bought a Vita but yeah, once I played it I had wished it was developed with a home console in mind, specifically in regards to the controls. The gyro stuff on Vita was annoying, the way they reworked it for the Dualshock4 was perfectly fine though. All the sudden Gravity Sliding was fun.
@twinspectre90 I'll buy both (and sold cod after finishing the single player) but most people will ignored gr2, I want sony to choose it's release date carefully since I want gr2 to sell so they can make gr3.
If I have to choose of course I'll pick gr2 rather than cod.
@Gamer83 I still hope this game sold well since ps users usually like to try 3D platformer/adventure/rpg game (I remember ff type 0 sold 80% on ps4 compared to other system).
Please please don't make the Western release date too much later than Japan's. And keep us informed please.
