Blizzard's currently working on yet another update for Diablo III, which is set to launch in the relatively near future. Patch 2.4.2 will introduce three new difficulty levels - namely Torment XI, XII, and XIII - and naturally, you'll be able to nab better and better loot as long as you're strong enough to tackle them. The grind just never ends, does it?
The developer will also be making various tweaks to existing legendary and set equipment, class abilities, and general gameplay. For starters, you'll be guaranteed at least one Greater Rift Key upon completing a standard Rift, and on Torment IV and above, Infernal Machines will have a 100 per cent drop rate - every little helps and all that. If you're after the full patch notes, you can find them through here.
We've got to hand it to Blizzard: the studio's post-release efforts - four whole years after Diablo III originally launched - have been phenomenal. Are you still playing Diablo III? Continue the eternal hunt for powerful gear in the comments section below.

I haven't played Diablo in awhile mainly due to the fact that no new content has come out for it for awhile. I am suspecting that they will have a big announcement for Diablo at Blizzcon.
Mehh, they need to release something more substantial. New difficulty is fine n all, I guess, but you're still killing the same monsters in the same areas, it's just gunna take a bit longer.
New chapter, area, 2 new classes and music, if you please!
I bought this game on PS4 and started playing it only a few weeks ago. It's alright, quite boring really, you just fight and fight and fight and nothing else really. There isn't even a lot to make the fighting very interesting or particularly fun. I don't get all the critical praise really because i just find it very run of the mill.
I've been thinking about getting this, is it any good for solo play? Also still seems to be holding it's price quite well (which has been another roadblock for me).
@crippyd There is a lot of solo content here actually, the game quickly gets really boring though in my opinion. There's just nothing to it for me.
@SPGFan34 I thought the game was fun as hell, I've cleared it many times and built a few high level characters but after so long the same content over and over just gets dull.
@SPGFan34 Thanks for the reply
@crippyd Yeah, it's good for solo play. It's all about building your character and getting stronger and stronger and stronger through loot and experience. If you like dungeon crawlers or loot-based RPGs then you can't go wrong - arguably the very best on the market in my opinion.
@ShogunRok TBH I've not played any RPG other than the Dark Souls series, I've mainly played shooters and driving games, so if it's in a similar vein to that (DS) then it'll be quite good.
@ShogunRok You've got to think they can do better with the end game customisation though? Kanai's Cube is a nice addition and they are on the right track with being able to breakdown legendries to extract the skills and equip them as passive abilities but it would be great to see them go deeper with this somehow..
It's a bit too easy to find a bunch of skills that you like and never bother mixing it up again...
@crippyd It's DS minus the skill. Seriously, it's so easy, you're just a whirl wind of destruction, the games hook comes from elsewhere
@kyleforrester87 I don't mind a game where I feel all powerful, so if I see it at the right price I think I'll dive in
@crippyd Oh yeah, the game is brilliant, easily one of my favourites, I'd just like to see some new substantial content after playing it so much.
@booshy89 It's been in sales many times for around £25
I'm with @kyleforrester87 on this one. I LOVE Diablo 3 but after playing it for countless hours it's going to take more then a patch to bring me back. I would love a full expansion and new trophies...
@booshy89 Fairplay. Its one of those games that if you like it you will LOVE it, and even at £60 it's worth it in my opinion for the hours put in. But it's an expensive risk
@kyleforrester87 Fair enough, the price would be good if you perhaps looked for a physical copy on Amazon or GAME, I usually buy from GAME because I find them to be more reliable than Amazon.
Fantastic game with fantastic support. Hoping for a sequel now, personally but it's great to see players given so much value for their money.
Been meaning to pick this up for ages now - fully expect to get around to it eventually, so it's nice to know it's had so much post-launch support, which is usually a good sign.
I'm desperately trying to get back to D3 PS4...but I've gotten sucked into playing my old characters in PS3 D3 (vanilla) and PS3 UEE (RoS).
I'm fascinated by the progression of item and skill redesigns over the years and feel that each game is a unique experience to be savored.
D3 (in it's many forms) is my most played game of all time. I'm P20/P125/P250.
@SPGFan34 I think you miss the point of Diablo as a whole. It's a dungeon crawler/action RPG, there is plenty of depth, but most of it comes from getting better loot and fighting an increasing difficult enemies.
I personally love it!
PVP???
Wooot!
