Mark Cerny, the PlayStation 4's architect, appeared in the credits for Hideo Kojima's mysterious Death Stranding trailer this week, suggesting that the industry legend will have some role in the development of the exclusive game. The outrageously talented veteran was listed as Technical Producer, which makes a lot of sense considering the pair recently toured the globe.
Cerny and Kojima visited all of Sony's first-party studios with the objective of finding an engine. It's unclear what tech the Death Stranding trailer is using, but we've seen some speculation that it's employing Unreal Engine 4, which makes a lot of sense. Either way, it's pretty amazing that Kojima Productions had something to show last night – it was only formed five or six months ago.

From the looks of it it appears they were using something from quantic dream. I may be way off base here but wasn't there a tech demo that quantic showed off called the wizard or something like that and one of the advantages was being able to utilize real people and have them rendered in real time with little input from developers? Like I said I may be way off here but it wouldn't surprise me if reedus came in, did a few days work doing the movements, and the past couple months were spent designing and building the world around him?
Knack 2 confirmed.
This is amazing news. Like entering a Pub Quiz with the guy who wrote the questions
This Knack spiritual sequel could be something else.
Not huge fan when game developers use the likeness of actors faces unless if its an adaption of an existing franchise. That being said, this looks interesting in a weird kind of way. I bet it'd a while before we get to see any gameplay footages, though.
his character is too hairless. looks bizarre lol
