Wait a minute, could Sony's upcoming E3 2016 press conference be without its annual tea break? The good news: Bungie has confirmed that it will be revealing Destiny's next expansion pack during a livestream at 10:00AM PT on 9th June. The bad news: said broadcast will probably conclude with a "Tune in to the PlayStation media briefing to see more" message. Boo!
We already have a good idea what this is because it leaked earlier in the month. The add-on will supposedly be called Rise of Iron, and enthusiast Robert Ramsey hypothesises that it will centre on Lord Saladin. That name alone sums up why your humble host fell off this franchise pretty fast, but plenty of people still play it apparently. Here's hoping for new Grimoire cards.

Need to go back to Destiny to finish the platinum trophy. I'm glad I gave it up though. I remember grinding three levels of Dead Orbit for a shader I never received was the experience that convinced me it was time to log off.
They need to get down to destiny 2, just fix what was wrong with destiny from the ground up instead of adding more content. I loved the gameplay itself and playing with others during the campaign but the storyline was awful and boring. Also some of the quests made me feel like I was dropped into the middle of a desert and asked to find an oasis.
It's the pricing model that stopped me from playing Destiny; as a game I really liked it. For Destiny 2, they would need to deliver a more substantial game up front and not charge crazy prices for DLC. Can't see it happening though.
If it has content like Taken King it's a day-1 buy for me.
With more than 400h in it, I cannot complain about the current content or price ...
If I can get it for a decent price I'd be tempted to try out the new expansion. I've had some good fun out of Destiny but I've only spent £20 on it - I'd have been massively disappointed if I had bought it at launch at full price and paid top dollar for all the expansions. Love the concept and the overall gameplay but the content has been disastrously ill-conceived from day one. Hoping they can fix what they did wrong in the sequel, it's got such potential.
I really hope this content adds more 'substance'. I really think Destiny year 1 was handled far better than year 2 has been. The Taken King hinted at would could have been but the actual content seemed little more than the 'expansions' that came before it - just added a new area so seemed more 'expansive'. Since then, we have had some very superficial and worthless 'events' and the last one really only updated old content to year 2 levels - something that should happen with each new update/level increase - its called an 'Expansion' but the content doesn't really expand on the existing but replace it.
As such I haven't really played that much this year so hoping this will give me a good reason...
Well if compared to Doom or other shoorters .. destiny has mor than enough.
Of course I want more too.
I think all the critics came from the missunderstandig that destiny might be an MMO .. but it is not and you do not pay that much as you would for a MMO ... you pay the same as for other FPS with yearly releases ...
