Given that Sony's ambitious PlayStation VR headset is due out in October, the platform holder's going to need a steady stream of software support to follow its release. And one of the biggest games on its docket right now is Gran Turismo Sport, which, according to Polyphony Digital chief Kazunori Yamauchi, will attempt to be fully compatible with the futuristic face mask.
"My plan is that Gran Turismo Sport will be compatible to allow all aspects of [the game] to be experienced in VR," he told Video Gamer. "We've been compatible with 3D before, in Gran Turismo 6 we've been compatible with Oculus, so it's just a continuation of that." Assuming that the developer can pull this off, it'll likely be a major driver for VR adoption – but could it also be the reason behind the release's disappointing presentation?

I don't know why everyone is saying disappointed with it. In the unvailing. They said this is only 50% complete.
I thought it look good for only half a game. We have had really bad unvailings (ubisoft)
@M1k3p3rr9 I'm sure it'll improve before launch, but they've got six months left and have been working on it for three years. Does anyone really believe it's only 50 per cent?
Look at the game footage of the live stream. And compare it to the trailer.
Most Def not finished
And so it begins, nerfing marque ps4 games for psvr.
@Neolit Agreed.
@themcnoisy How is it nerfing when we haven't seen the full results yet? People are intrigued by PSVR but sadly some don't want it for bite sized indie games like Job Simulator or 100ft Robot Golf, they want bigger IP's so Sony are trying that.
@adf86 me neither, but if its true that the game is gt6 built for vr then a lot of the fanbase will be annoyed. As the sim fanbase (this is a big presumption) is likely to be older with less time for vr.
I'm sure VR will be huge, but the hype has really died down with the vive and rift.
As you say, its not the finished product - but I feel with the release in 6 months, it cant really look loads better anyway.
