Since earlier this year, we've known that Mass Effect: Andromeda won't be launching in 2016. However, in a statement on the official Mass Effect website, BioWare's general manager Aaryn Flynn has confirmed that the game will ship in "early 2017".
Okay, so it's not huge news, but at least the developer's taken the time to get the official stance out there. What's more, Flynn also mentions that there's an "update" in store for EA's not-quite-E3 press conference on the 12th June. Gameplay footage or don't bother showing up, as far as we're concerned.
Do you think Andromeda will be out of this world? Keep demanding an original trilogy remaster in the comments section below.

If there's one remastered collection I want on PS4 it's the Mass Effect one with all DLC, I'd but that straight away!
We're overdue some info about ME:A though, hopefully we get some solid gameplay this year and not some teaser trailer.
When I can touch it I can believe it.
Looking forward to this! I played the mass effect series a little later than everyone else did, so I can wait a little longer.
Looks like it's gonna be a solid early 2017. Zelda, Mass Effect, and whatever else gets delayed into the new year (and oh yes, there will be delays o plenty)
If they did a remaster I want the first to play like the third. Except I want to be able to equip my companions in whatever armour I choose.

I'll get it used at a later date.
@GoatWrench I'd like them to leave the first game exactly how it is. Personally I always thought ME2's combat was the best.
Agreed, I want to see some game play.
It will come out next year in the summer. Look at all the big games this year that got pushed back. It is not if it will happen, but when. This year my big 3 are all within 4 months; Uncharted 4, Nov Mans Sky, and Deus Ex mostly due to delays. Lots of great games during a time when I least play them. At least I'm covered for rainy days.
I like the approach they are taking with this. I hate when developers show a ton of footage 3 years out, and I much prefer the Bethesda method like with Fallout 4. Do a big reveal and then advertise it and have it on the shelves within 6-9 months or so.
