Well this is a nice little surprise: Koei Tecmo's Souls-esque samurai slasher, Nioh, is getting a demo later this month on PlayStation 4. Apparently, the download will allow you to test your skills over a small gameplay segment, and obviously, that means you'll be able to sample the game's great looking combat.
However, the demo will only be available for a limited time. It'll be up for grabs on the PlayStation Store from the 26th April to the 5th May, so if you're interested, you'd best set yourself a reminder. What's more, those who manage to clear a stage in the demo will gain access to some free downloadable content when the full game launches later this year. Tempting stuff.

An alpha demo!? That interesting. Its feels like demos are making a comeback.
I'm looking forward to trying this later this month.
Quite interested in this, people are comparing it to Onimusha. Hope they get rereleased on PS4 because I never got to try them.
Despite not having a release date, yet, there's already a demo for us to try?

Dark Souls meets Onimusha. I'M IN!!!
Looks great. Going to pass on Dark Souls this time. Fed up of feeling excitable, buying it Day 1, suffering for weeks, then moving on to something else halfway through. Hopefully, I manage to see this one through : (
This looks more like Ninja Gaiden meets Onimisha, to me. Wasn't excited for this before, but my interest has raised considerably.
This is awesome! I hope Playstation continues to offer up more demos. With all the amazing games out there, AAA and indie alike, there needs to be more "try before you buy" options. There's just simply not enough time and/or money for gamers to enjoy all of these at once. At least with demos/betas we are able to get a better idea of if the game fits our personal tastes/playstyle.
I've been wanting to try this out so I'm definitely in.

Cool, really like the look of this so I'm keen to give it a go. Onimusha x Dark Souls sounds amazing in theory!
I'll give it a whirl, I liked Onimusha back in the day but the Souls series just doesn't click with me.
I actually forgot about this game even though it caught my attention when I first saw it. I guess this demo is doing its job already then.
