Uncharted 4 A Thief's End PS4 PlayStation 4 1

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End has been popping up on eBay these past couple of days, with sellers demanding up to £200 (~$290) a pop. This has prompted Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida to make a statement on the PlayStation Blog, stating that a number of copies of Naughty Dog's latest were stolen in transit in the UK, and Sony is working with the police to try and track the culprits down. Holy…!

One seller contacted by Eurogamer.net claims that HM Revenue & Customs had seized 10,000 copies of the game over unpaid VAT, which are now being sold on. That, er… Yeah, we reckon that the exact same guy may find himself embroiled in the middle of a criminal investigation any minute now. Whoops!

Of course, the consequence of all this is that copies are out in the wild, and Yoshida has warned people to beware spoilers. He said: "An extremely talented team has worked long and hard to bring Nathan Drake's greatest adventure to life and we would urge you to help us prevent this from being spoiled by purchasing copies of the game ahead of the launch date. Please rest assured that we will be very vigilant to protect you from this as far as we can."

This is getting crazy.
