This week's European PlayStation Store update is proving itself to be packed with unexpected treats: XCOM: Enemy Unknown Plus is out now on the PlayStation Vita. Fascinatingly, this game was never actually confirmed for the handheld; it leaked on various ratings boards, but 2K Games has failed to ever actually acknowledge it. The title costs £15.99 and weighs in at 2.2GB in size.
Due to the publisher's silence, details regarding this release are actually alarmingly scarce. It's safe to assume, however, that it's a version of Firaxis' popular 2012 turn-based strategy game – but we'll try to bring you a review with more details soon. Early reports online note that the load times are long and the presentation's a bit chunky, but the port's apparently pretty good apart from that.

Weird release strategy - I know it is a port but it needs at least some sort of release announcement to get people going on to their Vita's to order...

Wow - where's the fanfare? Xcom is great, I'm up for the vita version as long as pushsquare give it a 8/9/10. This is the problem for publishers. Ubisoft can release the same rubbish - but they stick adverts everywhere, tv, radio, online, promos with companies, promos with drink makers etc. You know a Ubisoft game is here. This is potentially great - but it takes Sammy accidentally falling over it for everyone to find out. Wtf firaxis.
Too late! Give us Xcom 2 on the PS4 and stop wasting time

So strange. It reminds me of back when the Saturn was struggling. The Bullfrog game Syndicate Wars had a port developed and ready for release, they just needed to add on the FMV opening...
Then they just cancelled it. No reason given. They had a finished game ready to sell and then just didn't bother. At least this one got released, but it has the same feel of self sabotage about it.

Only thing that sucks is all 64gb of my memcard are spent (despite owning all releases physical that got a physical release). Had to delete 2 GTA PSP games, CoD Road to Victory PSP, Sound Shapes, Urban Trial Freestyle, and like 10 other games I had deleted before this.
So need a 128gb memcard...
