Final Fantasy XV 15 PS4 PlayStation 4 1

After a decade in the making, Final Fantasy XV will apparently launch on 30th September on the PlayStation 4. The news comes courtesy of Gematsu, who are citing several independent sources for the date. It will apparently be officially revealed during Square Enix's upcoming 'Uncovered' fan event, which is scheduled to take place at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on 30th March.

While the rumoured release date remains conjecture for now, it seems more than believable to us. For starters, Gematsu is a great source, so we trust its decision to run this story. If accurate, 30th September is a Friday, which would indicate a worldwide launch. We know that games tend to release on a Tuesday in the United States, but Final Fantasy's a big enough franchise to earn an exception.

Either way, we'll find out for sure in a few weeks' time. It's perhaps worth mentioning that plans can always change, so you probably shouldn't start booking time off work until an official announcement's made. But assuming that this rumour's right, can you wait six or so months to get your Final Fantasy XV fix? Start growing your hair in the comments section below.
