Where the person he needs to save is himself and not his kidnapped family member. In fact Elena is just as interesting if not more interesting than Nate. We've come a long way

I still think that Nathan won't be killed. I think there will be a 'plot twist' where we are led to believe he will die or is killed - maybe even has to fake his death, until the epilogue or after credit scene...
I have always been a fan of the characterisation and personality Naughty Dog has put into to Uncharted. The relationship dynamics are excellent too and sets it apart from so many games. Games that may have similar mechanics can't touch this on its characters.
