It's been a long time coming, but God Eater is finally coming West later this year. The news was met with a lot of enthusiasm from potential players in North America and Europe, and it seems as though the people behind the franchise are just as excited to see their property branch out.
In a short new developer diary, producer Yusuke Tomizawa and director Hiroshi Yoshimura talk about their feelings with regards to the Western launch this summer. They also state that there'll be plenty of news to share over the coming months as we crawl closer to the release of both God Eater: Resurrection and God Eater 2: Rage Burst. Something to look forward to, then.

I would be a lot hungrier if I had an actual release date to go on, or even release window...
I hope it features cross- buy and -save, but it seems these bigger games never have it. I understand that they can't give the $60 PS4 game when you buy the $40 Vita game, but the other way around would make total sense. It would ultimately probably make them even more money, cause lots of Vita lovers like myself would go for the more expensive option that way instead of sticking to just the Vita game.
@TripleGK Dear me, I totally missed that. Fixed now, thanks for pointing it out.
So the Japanese versions have been out for awhile I presume? Anyone here played them by chance? Can you play part 2 without playing part 1 first? Will they be released simultaneously in the west? Sorry for all the questions, they look really interesting.
Is this gonna be released before Toukiden 2?
@TripleGK There's a GOD EATER anime, if you're interested. Only watched a little bit myself, but I read that it stopped at episode 9 back in 2015. Episodes 10-13 slated sometime during 2016.
