DOOM's Multiplayer Beta Boost Jumps to PS4 This Month

Pull on a Megadeath tee, throw us the horns, and prepare to head bang your way through some breakneck rounds of Team Deathmatch: the DOOM closed beta is coming soon to the PlayStation 4. Bethesda's announced that those who bought Wolfenstein: The New Order and redeemed the bundled code will be able to go hands-on with the bloodiest shooter of 2016 from 31st March through 3rd April.

The trailer embedded below outlines what you can expect: big guns and even bigger bad asses. There'll be an asymmetrical mode where you'll be able to assume the role of demons it seems; Evolve on steroids, then. Two maps will be available in the beta – and both are likely to comprise of various shades of grey. Are you looking forward to this? Exit light, enter night in the comments section below.

The multi-player portion of Doom is the part I am least interested in. I was hoping the Campaign would have more in common with Wolfenstein:TNO or Doom 3 but I get the impression that will disappoint me too.
I may give the Beta a go - after all I do get access via my purchase of Wolfenstein but I think this is more likely to be bought when the price drops to a similar point that Wolfenstein:TNO can be found for.

I'm extremely excited for this after playing the Alpha. Also, I appreciate your efforts to reach out to your metal brethren @get2sammyb. It shall most certainly be raining blood.

Dang it, I didn't buy Wolfenstein. I hope there is a open beta coming

The demon mode is great. Quick fire rockets × jet pack = grizzled, flesh confetti.

@Grawlog I noticed the selling error - although I did wonder if this was to do with trademarking. Sad, but true, I noticed the Metallica reference.

I am certain that Rock and Metal could provide a lot of material for writing this...

Are you looking forward to the 'Highway to Hell', getting 'the Number of the Beast' to 'Seek and Destroy' playing a 'Symphony of Destruction', handing out the 'Punishment Due'. Don't 'Shout at the Devil' or you may end up surviving by the 'Skin O' My Teeth' and a bit 'Thunderstruck'. Will you 'Reign in Blood' or are you going to 'Run to the Hills' and 'Fade to Black' in your 'Sanitarium'? 'Hell awaits' and you can't have 'Sympathy for the Devil'...

I am seriously lookin forward to this for like idk YEARS now
my most wanted shooter this year - although I admit Plants vs Zombies 2 blew me away with its epicness - I think Im just gonna have Doom for my "bloodthirst" and Plants for like "calming down again"
