So, DOOM's box art is shite. We've said it, you've probably said it, and the Internet seemed to ramble about the issue for days on end – but now, there's a beacon of hope. The official DOOM Twitter account wants you to vote on a reverse cover for the upcoming shooter, and there are two available options.
Option A is a bit arty, but it's definitely got a sinister appeal, while option B is a lovely throwback to the DOOM of old. Needless to say, both are, as far as we're concerned, far better than the guy with the gun that's slapped all over the title's marketing material, so we'll be happy with whichever design wins.
There are three days left to vote, and you can do so by clicking through here and taking part in the poll. Which reverse cover do you like best? Bring some ammo to the comments section below.
Option A
Option B

I kind of like option A, but it does remind me the old boxart for the late 90's PC FPS Blood, it also looks a bit too horror focused when Doom, is just as much about the action as it is the unsettling atmosphere.
So Option B it is.
Haha, love it. B is my favourite. Are they trolling us with A!?
Not interested in the game but I prefer Cover B.
It's got to be Option B, hasn't it? In fact, that should be the main cover!
@Swiket Well said, yes!
I hate them all. (--_-- )
but I guess B is kind of ok.
I prefer Option A - It looks more classy than B in my opinion. A matte black with glossy Red and even the 'skull' could just be glossy Black. Certainly more 'classy' than the more typical and generic cover of B that looks like many other covers You could also have the red embossed too to make it even more 'classy' looking.
B would be ok for the inner.
I thought the original box art fit the new DOOM (it being the classic FPS and all), but if I didn't vote for option B as an alternate cover, there would be something wrong with me. What an incredible-looking throwback!
I hope the collectors edition comes with the normal box and the steel book (i love steel books but they are impractical when it comes to putting in and removing the disc). I love option B!
Option A all the way. That's classy as hell!
As an aside, why is Mariah "Dolphin noises" Carey advertising some crappy mobile game in the middle of the article? Ads I don't mind, I mean you guys gotta keep the site running, but that's a bizarre ad....
defiantly B
They both look like album covers, voted B
B
Well isn't this the most obvious choice ever?
The throwback wins out easily. A looks like a crappy Elder Scrolls knockoff.
B all the way, although both look like they could be cover art for Venom or ManoWar albums...
B, i like A as well but it seems a little demonic focused for new Doom..Strange considering its a reboot..Anyhow the game itself is shaping up to be a classic ID software number..Beta is soon isn't it?
@get2sammyb definitely option B and then I may buy the disc version
A is better than the space marine cover they're using at the moment. But yes, B obviously wins it as the best of the 3. Nice gesture to let fans vote on reversible art. Shame they're not brave enough to let us vote on the main front art.
@Swiket I love A because it looks Satanic and ritualistic.
Option B is great, and while Option A is better than the original isn't very marketable and don't represent the game well.
I voted B because it looks classic DOOM. A kinda of reminds me of Diablo.
Both and get rid of the current one.
Got to be B great cover and will look great on my shelf on release day.
This is gonna be one of the best games ever!
Either
LOL I prefer the simplicity of the current one.
B has that perfect retro Doom feel to it.
A makes me think of the Necronomicon from The Binding of Isaac.
I prefer B.
Both are not good IMO...
Language?
I like A alot...reminds me of a Black Metal album cover.
Seems like people that like option A are in a minority. As Greg Miller says it, "Minorities are good, no more 9/11s." I'm voting option A.
Why not having a double cover like fallout 4 with both option in?
Then everyone is happy....
Option C: A picture of Trump screaming "Mexicans!" at us.
Haha - I called this back when the cover art was released. I love both of these, but I went with A because it reflects the aspect of hell and demons (and is likely to annoy evangelical types). Instead, can we have both of these on either side and sod the original one?
@Scorpio73 Good shout.
Option B, definitely!
