Those of you with strong memories may recall Table Top Racing on the PlayStation Vita, a middling Micro Machines-esque mobile port from a batch of ex-WipEout developers. The series is set to make its debut on the PlayStation 4 later this year, and YouTube channel Team VVV has gone live with some exclusive footage from the twee toy racer.
In it, we get a good look at some of the table top courses, including one based upon YO! Sushi – the popular British-based Japanese restaurant chain. The track has actually been meticulously recreated, complete with "kaiten" conveyer belt and lots and lots of bowls of delicious sushi. The game's already looking really sharp, and with the right price, it could be a fun little time waster.

There have been a few of these recently, but can't argue with the pedigree of this team. Will pick up at the right price!
I enjoyed this on Vita. Is the PS4 game new or reworked Vita version?
I'll get this at the right price as well.
Had my fill of these in the 80's & 90's. I'd much rather have a new Wipeout game. Racing games like this were made because of technical limitations. I didn't pay the best part of £400 to play old/Vita games on my TV.
Still, I wish them luck.
I loved micro machines on the ps1 8 player couch coop with pad share and auto accelerate.
Will look into this as I loved Micro Machines, I wish they would bring Toy Box Turbos to the PS4 though.
Well, it ain't Wipeout. And the physics look a bit 'floaty', but still very much interested in this. Would love a good kart-style racer on PS4!
Cant wait to get this; on psplus.
Makes me miss studio liverpool
@Shellcore thanks for the encouraging words
@Dodoo brand new game - not a reowrk buy you'll recognise TTR elements for sure. There's a number of favourite cars making a second appearance too.
@WARDIE its so much more than a Vita game. The best way to get another Wipeout game (perhaps without Sonys brand) is to support us - we'd love to make a new game like that. I'd love to know how many people would support the idea of a new future racer? I hope TTR is a good calling card for a future projects and you can trust us to deliver quality.
@NomNom us too but the team has some very good guys in it and the best thing to do is follow what we are doing and support our efforts that way we can remain independent and make the games people want. I'm certainly open to a future racer but I'd need to make a business case for it. We've got some cool concepts for that too.
@xMEADx good to know
After playing many hours of Trackmania lately, the lack of speed in this is jarring. Still looks fun, no Mario Kart 8 but fun.
