One game's hogged the headlines this week: Street Fighter V. We thought that the fighter was absolutely wonderful in our review, but it's also come under heavy fire for its lack of single player content. Elsewhere this week, we got some updates on Hideo Kojima's new game, Bethesda teased a Fallout 4 secret that's yet to be found, and we reviewed a bunch of other titles.

Street Fighter V - 9/10

Street Fighter V's gameplay sits with the best that gaming has to offer. The characters are truly distinct, the presentation first rate, and the netcode is utterly sublime. A lack of single player modes at launch dulls the sheen somewhat, and is the only element preventing the title from achieving true greatness. However, with the engrossing Capcom Fighters Network, the game's set up as a fantastic online playground in which to research techniques, stalk idols, view friends' failures, or simply sit back and watch – all the while waiting for your next challenger in this deep, enthralling fighter.

Dying Light: The Following - 8/10

Dying Light: The Following is DLC done right, offering new content for the Dying Light faithful while changing things up more than enough so that it doesn't just feel like the reanimated corpse of the base game. Ultimately, it's the inclusion of the off-road buggy that turns out to be its smartest addition, which coupled with its challenging new setting more than overcomes any of the all too familiar shortcomings.

Soapbox: Street Fighter V's PS4 Launch Has Been a Bummer

God, I love Street Fighter V. I'm about as good at it as I am guitar – which is to say that I know the major chords, but you can stick your pentatonic scales up your arse – but, like performing a very average rendition of Wonderwall, I'm thoroughly enjoying exploring the basics of Capcom's latest. Cammy's spiral arrow has become a close friend against the dreaded dreadlocks of Necali; Ryu's shoryuken a simple special that even my blistered digits can just about perform. But there's a 'but' coming in this opening paragraph, and I just dropped it like the V-Triggers that all of my opponents seem to be able to predict.

First Impressions: Hitman PS4 Brings the Franchise Back to Its Golden Years

It's safe to say that a lot of people were feeling quite nervous about the annoyingly named Hitman. Its episodic release schedule worried many people, and tensions were high after the disappointing Hitman: Absolution – would Square Enix mess up again? After playing the beta for many hours, however, it seems that there's nothing to worry about. In fact, there's a lot to be excited about.
