Mod support for Fallout 4 has been a big talking point - especially when it comes to us console players. How will they work? Will they be limited? How long will we have to wait? All of these questions and more have been spiralling for months, but sadly, we're still no closer to any definitive answers.

However, Bethesda creative director Todd Howard has at least given us a rough estimate on when we can expect mods to arrive on PlayStation 4. Talking to Game Informer, Howard reveals that mod support on PC is planned to launch in April, but it may be some time before the studio irons out the wrinkles and mods make their way to consoles. "In April. All of that stuff will go up on PC. People are beta testing it. There'll be a lag on consoles. We want to get it up on PC and have it work," he said.

Howard continues: "It'll probably be a good month before it hits Xbox One, and another month for PlayStation 4." If these plans work out, then, we should be looking at PS4 mod support this summer - June if this schedule is accurate and everything goes smoothly.

Sound good to you? Would you be tempted to mod your game, or are you still unsure about how the whole process is going to work on consoles? Make some modifications to the comments section below.
