Just when you thought that you could go a whole week without a Final Fantasy XV related news story, new gameplay details pop up in Japan's Weekly Jump magazine. According to a scan of the magazine which has been translated by Gematsu, the game will feature some sort of stealth system - likely to be similar to what's already present in Episode Duscae - and Noctis will be able to "mount" monsters in order to reduce their strength. Sounds reasonable, we suppose?
What's more, the article mentions good old magitek armour - big mechanical weapons of war that first featured in Final Fantasy VI. It would appear as though you'll have to battle against one of these mechs at least once during your adventure, although right now, it's unknown whether or not you'll be able to commandeer one for yourself.
We're bound to hear more about Final Fantasy XV in the next few weeks, so do let us know if you're feeling ten year's worth of excitement in the comments section below.

IMO they should let it rest for a few months, then a few months before release go all out on advertising. The every week slow drip kinda has me not very interested, even though I will be getting it. Just hope it is a return to form.
Would love to be able to use one of those armors in-game. I feel it'd be silly to take down a boss as tall as a building by repeatedly slashing at its tail/hull/other regions with a tiny sword or fists after all.
@Cloud7794 Agreed. Although given how ambitious the title is, I wouldn't be surprised if we got some Shadow of the Colossus style action somewhere in there.
I just hope it isn't an EMO love fest and it actually has some honest to goodness stories in it. Not asking much geez
Did they reiterate 2016?
I'm smack dab in the middle of XCX and that all sounds like stuff I'm doing now. So far the only thing I don't like was the first game was so much better. Well that and all the font is too tired you toread, I make my son inch up to the TV for me, I'm old.
FFXV is going to need to be great for me to think it's any good.
Is that demo open to all PS4 owners yet or was it a limited time offer or tied to another game purchase? I bought Wii U the day after the W101 demo released, would be nice to know when I buy a PS4 I'd have Episode Duscae to play.
I got the demo from that ff game that was on vita that got ported to ps4 forgot the name lol. Was meant to be re - released but not heard anything. Demo is awesome thou
The gameplay demo they showed when rerevealing it as FFXV showed Noctis jumping into some magitek armour
@SonyInfinity You and I both.
@SonyInfinity Hasn't Square Enix said that there isn't really a love story here and that the main story will focus on the male party? Luna isn't really a love interest if I remember. She just has an arranged marriage with Noctis
@rjejr Nope, the demo has only ever been available to those who bought Type-0 on PS4. I doubt it'll ever be released publicly, either, seeing as Episode Duscae is now based on a really old build of the game and Square Enix wouldn't want people to think that's what the finished product is going to be like.
For what it's worth, though, I think it's a pretty cool demo.
@ShogunRok Thanks. Hard to believe they made that huge 3.5GB update for a demo that wasn't even open to the public.
@Jayvir So let me get this straight, there is an arranged marriage between the main male and female characters, but no love story. Yea, I'll believe it when I see it bud.
Arranged marriages happen all over the world and they do not involve love. Its often a forced marriage that neither side wants.
The demo is better than the entire FFXIII trilogy and I don't even hate as most of FF fans.
Is this going to be turned based?
