Mark Cerny and Hideo Kojima's world tour is going to generate more degrees on N4G than a nude Rise of the Tomb Raider mod, isn't it? After opening his Twitter account in epic fashion earlier today, the PlayStation 4 architect has been posting shots of the Metal Gear maker like he's in danger of going out of fashion.
Today's leg of the world tour appears to have included a trip to Sony's motion capture studio, where the performances for The Last of Us and The Order: 1886 were captured. It seems like the recently established Kojima Productions, new to the PlayStation family, are visiting some of the Japanese giant's offices. We're sure that third-party partners will be included, too.
To be honest, given that Kojima and his crew have only recently wrapped up Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, we suspect this work trip is being used as both inspiration and a bit of a breather. And we reckon that's fair play – we're sure that the team will happen upon lots of ideas for their upcoming PlayStation 4 exclusive along the way.

If we're to be getting a PS4 exclusive I think Kojima needs to get cracking. Usually his masterpieces take a good 3-4 years of development and considering Kojima productions has yet to come up with a new idea for a new IP they're going to be pushing it for time I would think. If it does take 3-4 years we won't be pplaying it until 2020. Unless they already have a project already underway. I guess its safe to say we'll only be getting the one exclusive this generation. I have a feeling that whatever ever it will be it'll be a game for PSVR which is a very exciting prospect.
2020 ... dude, that's the FUTURE 0_0
Bromance, sweet sweet man love.
@WARDIE I personally cant wait until 2020. Give the man 4 years. Phantom pain for all its flaws plays like a dream and at 60fps 1080p is a ps4 technical Marvel.
But you could be right. The order 1886-2 by Kojima. Man that would rock.
Right now it seems like he's looking at the best technology to utilise whatever the studio will create next. It could be that they've got a clear direction already and want to utilise the best tools for the job, or perhaps the technology will give birth to the ideas.
Let the speculation commence!
@themcnoisy Yeah that would rock. I never played The Order 1886 but I will get around to it eventually. I've heard mixed things about that game which is why I haven't got around to it yet.
Hopefully Kojima will have something to show or announce at this years E3.
I do have a strong feeling that whatever he makes will be PSVR compatible. To be honest, I would be surprised if his next game isn't a PSVR game given that Sony are going to want people to be excited about Virtual Reality and having Kojima make an exclusive game for it would be a tempting prospect for most.
@themcnoisy i remember it being announced he would make a brand new IP already.
