Mainline Final Fantasy games have always been emotionally charged - even if they're a little heavy handed at times - and Final Fantasy XV will likely be no different. However, speaking with Examiner, ever-talkative director Hajime Tabata has stated that the upcoming role-playing release is "not going to be a love story".

"That's not the main focus of the game," he continues. "It has those elements of love and romance within the broader story of Noctis's growth as a person." In other words, we can probably expect an entanglement of relationships between the title's main cast of characters, rather than the narrative focusing on feelings of teenage angst between Noctis and Lunafreya, his bride to be. Sounds good to us.

The next instalment in Square Enix's acclaimed franchise is still on track to launch at some point in 2016, so it's safe to say that we'll be seeing a lot more of it in the coming months. Are you still hyped? Tell us of your ten year love story in the comments section below.
