Dragon Quest Heroes II is back for more monster madness later this year, as a 27th May 2016 release date has been confirmed for Japan. This probably means that we'll be seeing it before the end of the year if the sequel does indeed make it overseas.
The action role-playing game is charging onto PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and Vita. It'll boast a new story alongside a few new characters, and we'd imagine that it'll feature the same sort of gameplay that was present in the first title. It is coming from Omega Force, after all.
According to Gematsu, we should hear more about the game next month, when details will be published in Japanese magazine Famitsu. Did you enjoy the last release? Equip your best beast bashing weapons in the comments section below.

... Just for one day....
@arnoldlayne83
Still have to start the first game not enough games my ass my backlog is killing me lol.
the sequel is coming overseas.
This article made me more sad than excited actually..
They don't half churn these games out.
I really enjoyed the first one. I hope Torneko from 4 is a new character!
@AyeHaley yeah... Sad indeed...
Any word on multiplayer in this one?
I'm still playing the first, it's pretty good! By the end of the year, I could easily go for more of this series
Awesome, I'd would like for it to have character creation this time around though.
@rjejr Yeah, they did mentioned they'd be multiplayer for the sequel last year.
Maybe I'm getting confused with where this fits in the series...but I'm surprised it's coming to Vita and PS3 considering Dragon Quest Heroes didn't?
@mrobinson91 Heroes did release on PS3 in Japan, but PS4 only in the West. The Vita is a new platform though.
But I still would love to see part 2 in Europe.
@WanderingBullet Thanks, I thought I had heard that, but it had been so long. I do most of my gaming w/ my 2 sons so for a game like this multiplayer is a big factor.
@rjejr No, problem. I read that it will have some sort of multiplayer feature that will allow up to four players to play together.
I'm interested to see if the multiplayer is incorporated into the single player campaign or if its a separate play mode on its own.
