If you've not heard of this sci-fi b-movie from the olden days then you need to jump off your high tower and take a look at the latest development from ACE Team, The Deadly Tower of Monsters. If you're not familiar with the types of games that ACE Team makes, then you may want to investigate oddities Zeno Clash and Rock of Ages.
The game's a spoof of '70s sci-fi b-movies, and promises "adventure, action, robots, aliens, dinosaurs, apes, beautiful women, and space-age gadgets". So, if you're a fan of games like Earth Defence Force, then this may very well be worth a look.

Yeah, I downloaded the demo, it looks like humour trying too hard. We'll see.

It has a fun concept, but the execution leaves something to be desired. I was massively disappointed with the gameplay and the constant play-by-play got grating after a while. Some games, like Bastion, do it wonderfully, but this game is no Bastion. They seemed to be trying too hard with the humor and it fell flat on most lines.
