One Piece: Burning Blood looks just about as mental as expected judging from this new five minute gameplay trailer. Featuring a load of characters who haven't appeared in a One Piece game before, the brawler's set to have a pretty decent roster of playable pirates.
Indeed, if the footage is anything to go by, then the title's going to boast an enjoyable amount of variety, with personalities from the anime and manga sporting their devastating individual powers. The fighter's set to release on PlayStation 4 and Vita on the 21st of April in Japan, so we'd imagine that it'll be coming West before the end of 2016.

Looking forward to this! I'm hoping they will add the Funimation English dub (highly doubtful I know) but looks like it will be a load of fun and the special attacks look great. May be my new anime fighting game along with Naruto Storm 4!
Seems odd that there isn't a single female character in all of that. They have Drake (the dinosaur guy) who's just a side character who hasn't done anything particularly notable, yet they don't show Nami or Robin, two of the main characters who've been in it for a very long time, especially Nami who's been in it since Chapter 8, or in other words since 1997.
Initially my hope was that the game's development would line up with the current arc and thus be the first to showcase some of the newer characters. Now it seems I've got to revert to simply hoping they put in a character who's been in it for nearly 19 years.
Nice to see Namco stepping up their game slowly becoming my fave Japanese developer especially now that God eater resurrection and God eater 2 rage burst are heading our way
I have to start playing some one piece games on my vita in 2016.
What's happened to Luffy? He looks different. As far as One Piece is concern, I've only watched a few One Piece movies.
@WanderingBullet It's Gear 4th. I'm not sure what you have and haven't seen so I may be just saying things you already know here, but Gear 2nd is when he uses his rubbery body to pump blood around his body more quickly. He goes slightly red and starts steaming and moves a hell of a lot faster. Gear 3rd is when he inflates parts of his body to gigantic proportions. They've both been in the story for many years now. Gear 4th is the new one, it was only introduced a number of months ago and this is the first time it's appeared in a game.
@Matroska I was wondering the same thing...where is Nami & Nico Robin? Also no Boa Hancock? I can't think this is the final lineup. Have they ever done a One Piece game where Shanks and Mihawk haven't been involved?
Guys, don't be silly. Nami and Robin will be there, Hancock too. I also bet on Tashigi.
@Tulio517 I wasn't thinking they wouldn't be in it at all, it just seemed odd to show Drake and Barto before showing Nami and Robin. I guess you could say they're focusing on the newer characters*, but even then it's odd that none of the newer characters are women either - though I guess it's too early for Koala to be in it because we haven't seen her fight yet.
Gear 4th for the first time in One Piece game. Hype is real.
@Matroska Yeah, you've got a point. I kinda see them doing a very japanese trailer featuring a bunch of women. Speaking of new female characters, I think Baby 5 would make a nice addition.
@Matroska Ah, I see. The ones I've seen were:
Thanks.
@Matroska Well, here they are:

Like I assumed, a bunch of girls compiled. Expect a similar trailer soon!
